Well looks like my BIL will have surgery soon, the surgeon is from Germany. It's when he can come and see him and decide what's being done. He has done the surgery on the other 7 people that have had it , Its Addenbrookes he has to go to not Stoke Mandeville
They gave him some medication today but that also means he is banned from driving for the foreseeable 😢incase it makes his blood pressure drop radically , ut needs to be safe for him and everyone else.

Morning all, it's lovely and bright but very cold wind. Have done a machine load of washing and it's out on the line. Don't think it'll take too long to dry which is good as rain is now forecast for about 3pm so will need to make sure I get it in before that.
Good news about your BIL's surgery being done quicker @bubbs and by someone who has operated before on the same rare cancer. Far better than having to wait until June which he was originally told.
Have got a couple of freebies to pick up from Lidl and Morrisons in their Easter deals - a free bag of mini choc eggs from Lidl and a pack of hot cross buns (both of which DH will have!) and this morning's freebie from Morrisons is a bunch of daffodils which is nice.
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 1
L - chicken fajitas - Fibre; P; S; 3
D - Harissa beef stew, mash, tender stem broccoli - P; S; F; 2Calcium - mik
Fibre - wrap
Swips - sausage 1; sweet chilli sauce 3; harissa 2 (assuming that's what the swips are for as it's from the freezer and that's what I wrote on the bag!)Have a good day everyone.

Have a lovely time away @maman
Good news about your BIL’s surgery @bubbs waiting for information or things to happen adds to the worry.
Don’t know what happened this week but got a gain of 1.5 pounds! I was so cross when I left I made my mind up driving home I wasn’t going back - of course I’ve since calmed down and will do what Beanie always says, keep plodding. But honestly…..
So, sweet omelette with raspberries, banana and f/f Greek yoghurt for brunch and it’s Mo’s from FB lasagne and salad for dinner.
I’m now going to get the train into Glasgow for a mooch around the shops and get some steps in.

Good to hear BIL will be seen sooner @bubbs the waiting is awful. My BIL can resume his treatment next week and by the look of things the treatment is working to shrink the tumours.
Oh that’s annoying @Jellybaby keep plodding xHow do you get freebies @joedenise is it with an app? Despite DS2 working at M’s I never shop there as he needs to be with me for the staff discount.
I have done some housework, shredded some items, sown some seeds and did a garden job (one of many). DH is at the community allotment sorting posts for the vineyard. We are going out tonight so I’ll do SW carbonara before we go.
Lunch was a WM soft pitta, tbsp mayo and two small slices of salami. We are away from Thursday so need to start eating down the fresh stuff. Also had a bag of whole grain sun bites plus a banana.Cross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2026 founding member 😊 Read 26 books in 2026 8/26 Currently reading Raven Black by Ann Cleeves0
