Thanks @bubbs. I knew it would be loads but it is what it is - it's eaten now (and enjoyed!). Think I just have to accept I'm unlikely to have a loss this week.

Great bargains again @bubbs at Company Shop and Asda.

I got 2 lots of potatoes, onions and garlic in Aldi; DH picked up something from the middle aisle and it still only came to £3.85! Well pleased with that.

Morning all, it's another dry day but feels quite chilly but no plans to go out today so not a problem!

We're getting a new TV delivered tomorrow; was supposed to be today according to the shop but when the receipt came through online it said tomorrow so I phoned to complain and ask for a refund of the express delivery charge we'd paid - no way can't be done. This morning got a call from the delivery people asking if it was OK for delivery tomorrow so said we'd changed our plans to accommodate it but had been told in the shop it would be today. He apologised and said he'd refund our Express Delivery charge! Great result - just got to wait for it to appear now!

    Today's plan:

    B - Welsh rarebit, pickled onions - Fibre, calcium, S; F
    L - Scotch broth - P; S; F
    D - pork chop, mini roasties, veg - P; S; F

    Calcium - milk, cheese
    Fibre - bread
    Swips - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

Why is nothing ever simple Denise. I ordered a new walker/rollater. Due to be delivered today and it’s delayed as well and I changed an appointment. So annoying.

It's a real pain isn't it. It's not quite as bad for me though as DH can just stay in tomorrow and I'll go out on my own. They've said they'll send an email tonight to give us a 4 hour slot so if it's an afternoon appointment then we can both go out in the morning. I need to go out though as I have a waxing appointment!

Hope you get your new walker/rollater soon - such an important piece of equipment for you.

    Hi all,

Sorry I missed your birthday yesterday @joedenise hope you enjoyed the Belgian bun xx

Annoying about the deliveries - wondering how long before delivery times are very extended due to fuel issues….

I have worked today - last day for a week or so yippee!. Food today:

    B - AF bacon, fried egg, tomatoes - P, S

    L - WM cheese roll, apple, Twirl single - fibre, 1/2 calcium, S, 5.5

    D - FB Mo's lasagne, tender stem broccoli - free, calcium, S

We are leaving at 4am tomorrow and going in convoy with DSis and BIL. We are only taking a couple of ambient items of food and will shop once in Fort William. I know there's a large Morrison's there so will take DS2 with me and use his staff discount!!

A nice early start for you @Coxy11l. Enjoy Scotland.

I did enjoy the Belgium bun yesterday and I also ended up eating a doughnut this morning as got a 5 pack from Morrisons from their Easter daily treats. Glad to say it's just extra points today!

    Evening all 😁

Coxy , enjoy your break .

Denise, i had a hot cross bun last night but still well within my syns this week. I had free daffs yesterday, got extra point today, Because i shopped in Asda yesterday i got a go on their game and won £5 off shopping no minimum spend 😁😁

I also have a £5 of £40 lidl, well shopping always comes to that or more so that's that covered although to be honest i don't need alot this week because of company shop but i will stock up on cupboard stuff 🤣

Really annoying about deliveries 😡 think they think you sit there waiting for them every day!

9.30 this morning i realised we had hair appointment at 12, well this is in a town 35 mins away, so i rang and cancelled it and lied and said i had a hospital appointment 😱 i do have one but it's 8am tomorrow 🤣 re arranged for next week now!

    Food today

    Lunch part fibre and calcium

    Screenshot 2026-04-01 182739.png

Tea, free, part fibre, really enjoyed it!

morning all, ready for an essay?
I can’t remember what I said last time I posted so forgive me if I repeat myself.
Gained 2lb this week, here’s why!

Hubby’s haemoglobin dropped off the scale even after an iron infusion so needed a transfusion. We ended up on the acute medical ward waiting for hours to be seen 🙄. When we finally got called and the nurse came to do obs, she said so you are here because you have diarrhoea! Errrr NO! So hubby had to explain, she wanted to take bloods he said through his port, she said hang on I better get someone else! Long story short because he is heparinised in his port they couldn’t do it. Anyway finally told he had to stay in, he said no as he never eats while he’s in as the foods crap (Dr agreed 😂) she came back later and said good news on the food front, you will be nil by mouth! 🥴😂. Another long story short, had endoscopy & found some bleeds. So that was fixed then had dialysis with blood transfusion. Anyway he is home and still no better 🙄.

Then to top it off I turned 60 last week and ate all the crap going. Talk about losing the plot. Work is a nightmare, I was promised ppa time when I became First Aid coordinator, but then also became 1-1 so got no time. When I reminded SLT about the ppa, their answer was to tell me to explain it to someone else so they could do it. You can probably imagine my thoughts on that! Anyway going in today to rectify what was done by others 🤬

As I live practically on top of Thickthorn interchange, we have all the road works including pile driving that makes the house shake going on! Talk about stress!

    Sorry for the essay.
Hope your Bil gets his surgery soon Bubbs! Waiting is the worse thing! Beanie take care of yourself lovely. Wishing all the poorlies better soon.

Big thank you to everyone brave enough to read the above! 😂

Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
