Morning all,
Early start for me, was in hairdressers at 7.30 😳 back home to sweet omelette, banana, raspberries and yoghurt. I was absolutely starving!
Bitterly cold again but dry and breezy so may get some towels on the line. I’m having the baked potato from yesterday for lunch with prawns and salad. I’ll make up a sauce using a few swips. Dinner is chicken and leek tagliatelle, seems to be a favourite with DS at the moment.0 -
hi everyone.
@bubbs so sorry to hear about BIL xx
@joedenise good loss there.
I’ve weighed in with a 0.2kg loss. Almost 1/2lb so I’ll have that.
6 weigh-ins till we go off again so I’m happy being in target range but aiming for the bottom if poss.
I have chicken and rice for lunch and we are having a Spanish omelette and salad for tea with HE cheese on top. Brekkie was yog, blueberries and a banana. Soo hungry today - no idea why but trying to resist the work kitchen snacks.
I’ve also started drinking hot water. It’s so nice. Nothing in it just kettle boiled water. Our water is lovely though, one of the benefits of living in Yorkshire.

Not sure how I'd get on with drinking hot water @Matron_Midge but I'm sure it's good for you!☺️ I think I'd have to have a squeeze of lemon in it. Well done on your wee loss and more importantly being in target range. Aiming for the bottom is the best place before a holiday so good luck to you.👍🏻
I know what you mean about not having a joint on a Sunday @joedenise . It's not just the LO meat but the vegetables that I miss as I usually have them with Monday and sometimes Tuesday's lunches. We had a 'one pot' casserole yesterday for convenience when I got back from dancing so I'm missing the LOs too today.
How do you make the chicken and leek tagliatelle @Jellybaby ? We love pasta dishes here so always on the lookout for something different.
That cauliflower cheese looked delicious yesterday @bubbs . I'm having a hungry day so looking at the photo I could eat it right now.😋
As we go away on Saturday, I'm hoping to stretch this week's food for an extra day. We're only going away for 5 days but I really don't want to have to shop again this week. I should be OK as we're eating out on Wednesday evening so that's one less dinner.
Today's plan-
B- HE fibre toast, HE calcium milk, beacon, eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
L- ham (P), stir fried veg (S)
D- savoury mince (P,S), new potatoes, peas (F), carrots, broccoli, cabbage (S)
Swips- 00 -
Afternoon all 😁
Well done MMidge 👏
Jelly that was early for hairdressers!
Well i have just lost my head with the doctors! Rang the hospital to book scan, no request, she said ring the doctors back, so i do, no it's not been put through because of doctor sickness, earliest they can do it is Thursday!! I said i am sick that's why i need the scan, but it's ok for me to wait till then to be able to ring up, then wait another 1 or 2 weeks for an appointment when someone else can't just press a button?!! I mean what has it come too? RIDICOULOUS !!
Not the best time to tell me no , i woke in the night with excruciating pain in my back, i felt sick, never felt so ill in my life as i did then , seems a bit better now.
BIL been hospital this morning for bloods and see the consultant , got to go back again for bloods on Weds and take his 5 ltr samples back The the consultant , he said as the tests all have to go Coventry it will be at least 4 weeks before surgery, so my sister said looking at June time 😱he will be in hospital 3-4 days. He said he just wants it out of him, but they said as they don't know how long it has been growing and because it grew 1 cm in 2 weeks there is alot to look at.

@maman it’s a recipe from Mo’s SW page on FB, I think Coxy has also tried it. It calls for chicken thighs but I’m using breasts, leek, onion, chestnut mushrooms, spinach, white wine stock pot and seriously spreadable cheese.
Fry off chicken, then veg, add stock pot, cheese and a little of the pasta water to make thick cheesy sauce. I add spinach at this point and once wilted add cooked tagliatelle. Combine and consume 😁it’s very tasty (I add lots of black pepper).

Hi all,
Was away overnight at BFF’s as the husbands had a gig last night. Bit odd on a Sunday but heyho. We both swooped our working days to be able to stay over.
BFF’s husband is a trained chef so made a delicious roast chicken dinner and apple crumble. We had a toasted bagel before driving home today.Dinner is chilli con carne and rice (finally). That tagliatelle recipe is fab @Jellybaby and @maman x
Don’t blame you getting ratty with the surgery @bubbs and can understand your BIL just wanting to get on with his surgery poor fella.

That’s not on @bubbs & that’s a long time to wait for your BIL.

No pics from me today as nothing exciting, can't be feeling right as not bothered with food 🤣 Just has 2 ryvita with ham and some watermelon for lunch, beans on 2 toast with a sprinkle of cheese for tea.
Beanie please take extra care , don't want you falling again .
BIL is because it's rare and all his samples have to be frozen and sent off, hopefully will be quicker than June 🤞
