    Morning all,

Been missing this week due to a whole load of things happening at once! Seems to be the way of it at the moment. However, I did get 2.5 off at WI so I’m happy!

I’ve booked a couple of holidays, Lanzarote with my friend and Fuerteventura on my own. Something to look forward to and keep me sane🤣

DS2 is off to watch the rugby later and like you Coxy, I’m roped into taxi duty. He’s promising last train at the absolute latest and I’m promising I’m not driving into Edinburgh so his choice! Other than that it’s a day of pottering and catching up with the dreaded housework.

I’ve had cereal, yoghurt, raspberries and mango for breakfast, and plan to use a second fibre choice on a roll tonight for homemade burgers. Really looking forward to this and I’ll use some syns for burger sauce and cheese (using calcium choice for milk in coffees).

weighed this morning and 1 lb back on. I’ve not been particularly active as I’m having mega agro with my ankle. It’s an ongoing problem but is certainly making itself a nuisance this week. Consultant says it needs fusing but I’m not a suitable candidate due to a bone condition I have. It is what it is….gp has made me an appointment with a physio at the end of the month but I’m not optimistic.
The hallway has been sorted just need the plaster to dry out properly so we can emulsion over it. I’m still hoping we won’t need to do the whole hallway.

🥴😳🥴to leaving the car window open all night. You were lucky nobody half inched it…..I’m sure that would be the case near here 😳

Great loss @Jellybaby or should that be ‘Jellybaby Taxi Service!’

Sorry about your ankle issue @milann sounds painful x

We went to Canterbury - needed a part for DH’s car as the one they sold him on Thursday is incorrect. They were shut - this is a main dealer. And no, DH didn’t check before we set off!! Had a coffee in M&S and now home. DH has gone off to town to see if he can get yet another lookilikey part that only seem to last a month or so - buy cheap buy twice (or in this case 3 times)

That's a brilliant loss @Jellybaby .Very well done! Whatever has been keeping you busy this week has certainly paid off and not derailed you.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Your tiny gain was hardly worth worrying about @joedenise .🤞🏼for a loss this week.

Shame about the gain @milann . It may be to do with lack of exercise but unlikely I'd have thought. We had a wheelchair user in my first group who lost loads.

I was confused when I read your post about your ankle. First I read that you couldn't have surgery and then went on to read that the plaster hadn't dried yet. It didn't make sense as I was thinking of a plaster cast! 🤣

Shame you couldn't get the car part you wanted @Coxy11 . It does seem odd that a main dealer would be closed on a Saturday. I'm trying the chicken and mushroom tagliatelle tonight.😋

Hope the car seat has dried out @bubbs. We're doing some drying out here too after a potential disaster was avoided.

Thursday evening, DH went to the airing cupboard and found that the CH boiler was leaking. It was a big leak, far more than a drip. We'd not been in there AFAIK since about Monday. All the towels and bedding in there were soaking wet. We had a plumber out yesterday and he's put a new part in and fixed it for now although the boiler is old so I think we'll probably need to replace it sooner rather than later. I put all the wet stuff in bin bags and took it to the laundrette for a service wash. Looking back, although it was a dreadful mess, the linen soaking up the water prevented it leaking through into my lovely new kitchen so it was really a blessing in disguise.

I'm going to listen to the football, batch cook some savoury mince for the freezer and do some prep for tomorrow's dinner.

    Today's plan-
    B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, blueberries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
    D- chicken and mushroom tagliatelle (P,S,F, HEA2)
    Swips- LTL mayo1, weekend wine😁

Sorry we must of cross-posted @Coxy11 as didn't see your post until I looked having read @Jellybaby's post. Why on earth would a main dealer be closed on a Saturday - it's one of the most likely days that people would be looking for cars! Very frustrating. Hope your DH manages to find something suitable in town.

The harissa paste was in a beef stew - plenty of Speed veg in it - onion, garlic, carrot, butternut squash, peppers and Speed fruit with apricots chopped up. There was plenty of chopping to be done with that lot! I'll certainly make it again but would chop the veg a bit smaller so it didn't take as long to cook. The recipe said 30 minutes at pressure but if the veg had been a bit smaller then I think 20 minutes would have been plenty. Can also be cooked in the oven (2.5 hours) or the slow cooker (4 hours High or 8 hours Low). We prefer anything with meat cooked in the pressure cooker or oven. Only really use the SC for pork shoulder or recipes containing mince like a keema curry.

Great loss @Jellybaby. So glad my kids are grown up and don't need running around or picking up anymore - in fact they both drive far more than I do!

Shame about the leak but as you say @maman just as well the linens were in the cupboard and absorbed all the water and saved it going through into your lovely new kitchen. Good idea to take it all to the launderette for a service wash. Not easy getting the normal washing done at the moment without having all that extra!

Pleased to say my washing all dried today and has been folded and put away. Planning on doing the bedding tomorrow but with the weather today wish I'd done it today as the forecast for tomorrow is showers and light rain all day so will have to be tumble dried again. Such is life!

    Have a lovely evening everyone.

Yes car seat was dry this morning, Milann the car was full of stuff for orders too 🙈but it's on the drive and parked right up against the wall, just enough space for me to slither out 🤣🤣🤣
