    Hi all,

I met a friend this morning for a walk at a NT place. We’d just started when we walked past a lady with a dog on a lead - it lunged at me and bit me on the leg through my trousers. I said “it’s just bit me” and she walked off muttering “it’s not my dog”. I was so shocked - she didn’t even apologise. We carried on with our very boggy walk and went to the cafe after where I checked my leg and have puncture wounds. I reported it to the staff and they gave me some anti bac wipes plus added it to the accident book. I went to our local minor injury unit (phoned first to say I need a tetanus) well due to transition they are currently unable to prescribe. Waste of time. Had to go to Maidstone. I’ve just got back having anti-biotics and a tetanus shot. Feeling very sorry for myself. Need to report to 101 as next week it could be a child’s face!

DS2 cooking dinner - pork and apple burgers.

I didn’t realise they could give you a new thumb joint @joedenise - so clever. Glad the wait isn’t too long x

    That’s rubbish about your DH’s results @bubbs x

It was news to me @Coxy11. I had assumed that it would be the bone removal - that's all it will be at the private place as it's only a £2.5K max and the actual cost of the joint replacement is between £4.5K and £10K! Think I'm going to cancel the private one next week.

That's awful what happened at the NT place. How could she deny it was her dog if it was on a lead, doesn't make sense. Do hope you're not in too much pain with it and having the antibiotics should at least stop any infection.

I think it's terrible @bubbs how long your DH is having to wait for his blood restults. Don't think I'd wait until the end of the week before chasing it up. If he leaves it until Friday it doesn't give them any time to chase up with the lab so nothing will happen until next week.

    Morning!

Rubbish night. Tetanus in left shoulder = sore, wound on right leg = sore! Made a police report and have emailed the NT as you have to enter your car reg to park - there were only about 10 cars in the car park so may be able to identify the dog walker from that.

I’m going out on the train today to Herne Bay. Was due to work but message came through at 9:30pm last night and after the day I’d had I was in no mood to be flexible - have put the role on hold for now. DH’s car is playing up again so he’s taking our big car to work. The train to HB is about 25 minutes so it will be an adventure!

    Food today:

B - banana, toasted protein bagel, poached egg - free, HEB, P

L - will be out - hoping for a JP 🤞🏻 will also take an apple with me.

D - DH and DS2 are having pizza as DH is going out tonight. DD is also out. I will make a rice pot when I get home later and that will do me for lunch tomorrow as well.

    HEA - milk

    Syns - TBC

    Morning all,

Well done on the maintain @Matron_Midge

You’re having an awful time just now between the boss and the horrible dog @Coxy11 hope your leg is less painful and you can enjoy the day out. I only use FB to scroll but have seen Mo and her meals always look amazing!

Halfway through the week and all I’ve done is run errands, mostly for other people! I thought salsa class was still off but turns out it’s back on so that hasn’t improved my mood 🤣 I think anxiety is creeping in as I know I’m going to have some tough conversations with family in the coming months.

Anyway back to SW. Food has been on plan I’m happy to say! I wasn’t hungry when I got up so had a banana (which was huge!) and coffee, it’s the last of the lentil soup for lunch and dinner is chicken curry with rice.

It’s heavy rain and sleet here so hope you’re all fairing better and keeping dry.

Afternoon all, weather been all over the place again today! We went out fairly early to go to Canterbury as my phone died yesterday - was fine at 11am and fully charged and when I picked it up at 11.30am it was completely dead and wouldn't take any charge so decided to take it back to the shop I got it from. As per usual was out of warranty! Even they were surprised it had just died so ended up taking it to pieces to see if they could sort it out but it was very definitely DEAD so ended up buying another one. Just hope this one lasts longer as only a year warranty on it again (I always buy 2nd hand as far too expensive new and can't even buy one the size I like new now anyway!).

As we were out early we went to Spoons for breakfast - had the Freedom breakfast so Swips for hash browns - swips please? Took the phone back and then had a wander round Canterbury for about an hour before going back to the shop and buying another phone. Since getting home I've been putting all my apps back on it as of course because the old one died they couldn't be transferred over. Still at least I didn't have to add all the phone numbers again because they're on the SIM.

Enjoy Herne Bay @Coxy11 - haven't been there for a while so perhaps it's one of the places we'll have to go to when we take the motorhome to Canterbury when the weather improves. Do hope your leg and shoulder aren't so far as to ruin your day out. Hopefully you'll find a cafe that does jacket potatoes.

    Today's plan:

    B - Freedom breakfast (no sausages on it) - P; S; F; 4?
    L - fajita pasta - P; S; F; 3
    D - cottage pie, veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
Swips - hash browns 4? sweet chilli sauce 3

    Have a good day everyone.

Thanks for the recipe @Coxy11. It looks delicious and very generous. I'll definitely be giving it a try. I need to buy some frozen leeks as I find them very useful. Unfortunately I'll have to get them from Sainsbury's as our Farmfoods is no more.☹️

Well done for reporting the dog incident and I do hope they are able to trace the walker with the dangerous animal.😠

I agree with @bubbs, you must put yourself first @Jellybaby. I'm sure you're not looking forward to the difficult conversations but it will be worth it in the long run. You didn't give up work so you could run errands for other people!

We saw that strange yellow thing this morning too @bubbs but now it's long gone to be replaced by the customary daily rain.

I'm copying your idea and we're having YS beef slices in gravy. The gravy is from the freezer LO from a beef casserole so I'm counting it as free.

I'm almost completely out of HM ready meals so need to plan in some batch cooking, hopefully this weekend .

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, eggs (P), baked beans (F)
    L- LOs and pickles (P,S,F)
    D- beef (P), potatoes (F), carrots, broccoli, cauliflower (S)
    Swips- horseradish?
