    Morning!

    That’s a lot of meds @bubbs 😳

Well done @beanielou on your 1.5lb loss 👏

The beef in black bean sauce was lovely. 2 portions left so one for DS2’s lunch and one for me. It’s only 0.5 SWIPs 🙌🏻

We had some dreadful news yesterday. An aunt of DH has died suddenly by choking. Just so awful. Waiting to hear of arrangements but they are based in Scotland so will involve travelling.

    Food today:

B - SW pancake, blueberries, isey skyr baked apple yoghurt 150g - fibre, S, 0.5

L - LO beef in black bean sauce with rice - 0.5

    D - smoked salmon tagliatelle - free

    Calcium - milk

    Calcium #2 - 3 Mini babybel

    SWIPs - 1 plus hi fi bar 3 = 4 total

Morning all, looks to be a very pleasant day weatherise and not too hot. not looking forward to temps later in the week - we're forecast 33 for Thursday!

Glad you enjoyed the beef in black bean sauce @Coxy11 - did you make your own sauce or use jarred one? Have found a couple of SW friendly recipes online which include making your own sauce.

My GP always gives both DH and I 2 months meds at a time so bags are quite big each time!

Well done @beanielou on your loss and into a new stone bracket.

    Today's plan:

B - Weetabix, milk, fruit - Fibre, part Calcium, S
    L - jacket potato, beans, cheese, salad - part Calcium, S, F
    D - steak, chips, onions, mushrooms - P, S, 4

    Fibre - Weetabix
    Calcium - milk, cheese
    Swips - chips 4

    Have a good day everyone.

Well done on your loss @beanielou and getting to a new stone bracket. You certainly know how to lose when you put your mind to it. 👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

That's an awful thing to happen @Coxy11 , so sorry for your loss.🤗

It's meant to be 26° at it's hottest here today @joedenise . I'm undecided about what's the best thing to do on Thursday when we're going out for the day.🤔

    Hope you got a better night's sleep @bubbs .🤞🏼

DH has a big bag of medication each month too. We used to joke during Covid that our bathroom cabinet was counted in as one of Boris Johnson's 40 new hospitals! 🤣

Rather a lot of rice today here. It's on the meal plan for tonight but also want to use up some of the LO savoury rice from yesterday's jambalaya.

    Today's plan-
B- scrambled eggs on toast (P, fibre), milk for drinks (calcium)
L- rice salad with ham and pickles (P,S,F)
D- chunky chilli and rice (P,S,F), cottage cheese (P)
    Swips- 0

Oh I'm really peeved! The recipe for the beef in black bean sauce was from the Fast Feasts book (2023). The sauce is made up of:

    4 tbsp oyster sauce

2 tbsp black bean sauce and

    1tbsp cornflour

    mixed with 200ml water.

That's 7 SWIPs between 4 portions at current SWIPs rate! Beginning to think I now need to double check everything as this is where SWIPs creep in without me knowing - I have many recipe books from SW. So 2 SWIPs per portion not 0.5 like the book says!

That's annoying @coxy11. There's a swip free chicken in black bean sauce on the SW Blog for if you don't mind making the sauce yourself in the future and just sub the beef for the chicken.

Two chubby cubs also have a 0.5 syn recipe but might be more now as it's an old recipe.

So sorry to hear of your loss @Coxy11 that’s going to be a long journey to Scotland for you. So annoying when they change the values on things Grrrrrr! Oh and well done on the loss @beanielou, you did make me laugh with the ryvita anonymous post.

I’ve weighed in this morning with a 0.6kg loss (last weeks gain gone and a tidgy bit more) happy with that and I’ll keep persevering- slap bang in mid range now 🤗

We are having moussaka and salad for tea loads of speed but equally a few swips with the 10% lamb mince and all my HEa’s used up. Nothing else planned though

Breakfast was just fruit (run out of my yogurt) and lunch was tuna pasta with lots of cherry toms and cucumber - scrummy.

I’ve just counted the cucumbers in the greenhouse - 12 large and 18 babies. I don’t know what to do with them all. Everyone I see gets a cucumber 🤣 very MSE though as they are about £1 each and the seed was less than £1. Waiting on the toms ripening and then what we can’t eat will be made into sauce and frozen for the winter. I also have French beans by the basket and we are having them with a lot of meals and freezing loads.

Right, off to water up and then sort out my paperwork.
