Wow, that's huge! I picked up the biggest one but just weighed it and it's only 2.5Kg!

You did really well to have such a small gain on a long holiday @joedenise . Excellent! 👍

Well done on the whopper watermelon @bubbs .We can rely on you to sniff out a bargain. ⭐

Hope you enjoyed your 'day off' @Coxy11 and didn't work too hard.

It started off dull here and then brightened up and we've had none of your rain @bubbs . It's stayed around 20 degrees all day and still is. Tomorrow is meant to be lovely so washing is at the ready.,🤣

Today I've had a fry up for breakfast and finished off LOs in the fridge for lunch. Tonight we're off to a Greek restaurant but they do other cuisines as well so I should have a choice. Swips will be involved but hopefully all enjoyable ones.

Painting started and will finish it tomorrow before picking up DDad for another day out and (no doubt) a JP.

DH and I have just been to a talk at the church about a Saxon artefact found in our village with links to Sutton Hoo. Very exciting and interesting.

I emailed work today as haven’t been needed since mid-July. Said I think it’s time I got my laptop cleared and they agreed. Felt a bit fed up but onwards and upwards.

DS2 cooked a bacon and halloumi pasta dish tonight as he’s working tomorrow. Will do the chicken tomorrow instead. It’s DD’s birthday but we will eat out on Friday as she shares her day with DDIL.

Didn’t get to do any painting this morning as stayed up far too late last night and was on a go slow. Took DDad to Maidstone. Got a fabulous coffee table book for 50p in a charity shop plus a free gift with purchase in a posh shop, so the purchase will be put away for Christmas 😊

We will pop to the pub after dinner for DD’s birthday today.

    Food wise:

    B - hi fi peanut bar - 3

    L - WM roll, ham, Pom bear - fibre, P, 3.5

D - FB SW Mo’s paprika chicken, rice, broccoli - Calcium, Free, S

    Calcium - 350ml skimmed milk

SWIPs - chocolate(!) plus 6.5 - busted my daily allowance

It’s weigh day tomorrow and a taster session. I’m going to make lemon and blueberry cupcakes which are low SWIP value. Not sure how I feel about this week. Some days I’ve barely had anything then others like today have been SWIP heavy. We shall see!!

Good luck for tomorrow @Coxy11 .🤞

Last night, I chose souvlaki with a Greek salad. That was all fine but they generously put several bowls of chips around the table and they were delicious. 🤣

I've had a good walk in glorious sunshine this morning. Scrambled eggs for breakfast, JP with cottage cheese and salad for lunch. Out again tonight and it's a decent restaurant but wine will be involved. I'll be back on plan properly by the weekend.😁

Evening all, today has just disappeared! Can't believe it's 8pm already, although being stuck up at the Minor Injury Unit for 2 hours this afternoon didn't help. I tripped in the motorhome while we were away and I bashed my little finger against the back of one of the seats and it's been a bit "floppy" so I've had it splinted to try and straighten it and as it still isn't right DH insisted I went to the hospital to at least get it X-rayed. Apparently I did the right thing by keeping it splinted and the finger should eventually be OK again. The nurse said he'd arrange for me to be seen in the fracture clinic at the main hospital and as I have an appointment for 3 weeks time anyway he suggested I just ask them to have a look at it then rather than him arranging a separate appointment - hopefully they'll be ok about it. It's actually called a mallet finger!

Good luck with WI tomorrow @Coxy11. I'm sure your Swips will have evened out over the week and you'll be OK.

I've managed to get all the washing done and line dried today as it's been lovely and warm. Wasn't sure it would dry this morning as it was a bit cloudy and no breeze but improved as the day went on. Just got the bedding to get done over the weekend now. Will try and get it all done during the free electric periods.

Enjoy your eating out tonight @maman. You always seen to manage to find something SW friendly when you eat out so few Swips so just have to count them for wine!

    Today's plan:

    B - stuffed mushrooms
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles
D - shepherds pie, green beans

    Calcium - milk, cheese
    Fibre - bread
    Swips - ice lolly 3

Morning all, things are now getting back to normal for a few days - we're off to the Isle of Wight next Wednesday but only for a week. Will be taking some food with us and hopefully won't be eating out every day!

I weighed this morning as it's my normal day and pleased to say I'm down 2lb already and that front number is back where I wanted it to be. I'm pleased with that and hopefully will shift some more before we go away again - will weigh Wed morning before we leave.

    Today's plan:

B - scrambled eggs, spinach, toast
L - jacket potato, tuna mayo, salad
D - pork steak, mash, green beans

    Fibre - bread
    Calcium - milk
Swips - LTL mayo 2; salad dressing 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all,

Well done @joedenise on losing that small gain so quickly x

I weighed in with a 1lb GAIN! Was p'eed off but not surprised if that makes sense. My whole routine is out due to having DDad practically every day and having to eat out. Today saw yet another JP with tuna and salad, in Faversham this time. DDad told me the potato was no good for me and I should have more protein like eggs, but all eggs came with toast! Soup was with crusty bread - can't eat crusty bread as it rips my mouth to shreds and soup alone will not fill me up. Just so frustrating. He is here until 8 Nov when I go back with him for a week (to the cat palace).

I made the muffins and they turned out sticky/claggy so didn't take them. Didn't stay anyway as had to go fetch DDad. Muffins were 5 eggs whisked for 6-8 minutes with 60g caster sugar, then fold in 125g plain flour, zest of one lemon. Put muffin cases in the tray and pop a few blueberries in each case then top with batter. Cook on 190 for 10-14 minutes. This made 16. Will probably end up on the bird table.

Most of the tastings were mini quiches plus there was a cheesecake but I didn't stay to try.

We are out for dinner tonight with family for DD and DDIL's birthdays. Will be having what I fancy as will be designated driver so saving on SWIPs there!
