    Morning,

I love how far pulled pork goes @joedenise! Welcome back @Jellybaby glad you had a good time. 30 degrees is a bit much isn't it?

I have the house to myself (apart from leggy long kitten) although I'm volunteering this afternoon. Have coloured my hair and been in touch with IT work person to wipe my laptop of all things work. I have had two online sales which I need to send but I need to go to the town tomorrow anyway as DDad has a hearing test. Anyway, back on thread topic(!)

    Food today:

B - AF turkey rashers, mushrooms, tomatoes, poached egg, apple - P, S

L - WM roll, cheese, lettuce, satsumas - fibre, calcium, S

    D - grilled pork cutlet, golden savoury rice, tenderstem broccoli - P, S, 1

    Calcium - 350ml skimmed milk

SWIPs - 1 plus hi fi bar = 4 total

Glad you had a good holiday @Jellybaby - worse part of getting all the washing done and dried! I've finally caught up and have a machine load on the line plus all the bedding which needs finishing off after not quite drying during the Free hours yesterday afternoon.

We're off again on Wednesday but not abroad - just to the Isle of Wight. I'm sure we'll be doing plenty of walking same as we did when we were in France. We were doing between 10-12,000 which is double what we do when we're at home.

Will be good to get your laptop sorted so that it just yours again rather still having work stuff on it. Don't need that cluttering it up!

Welcome back @Jellybaby .Unfortunately, the washing mountain is one of the downsides of holidays. It's made a big difference since we started renting an apartment instead of a hotel and can wash stuff before we come home. When it's 30 + degrees, drying isn't an issue. 🤣

It's cleared up quickly here too @joedenise and now it's 20 degrees and gloriously sunny.

You're making me determined to try cooking pulled pork @Coxy11 and @joedenise . It's versatile as well as generous portions.

I'm doing corned beef hash for dinner and can't remember the swips. It's half a large tin and I've added bacon to stretch it a bit.

    Today's plan -

B- porridge, raspberries, banana (fibre, S, F), milk (calcium)

L- cold meat, LO veg and pickles (P, F, S)

    D - corned beef hash and veg (P F, S)

    Swips - 🤔

Thank you @Coxy11 .I used Pampeano (a tin from when we had a Farmfoods 😪) so a quarter of a tin each would be about 4 swips.

Is that 1 egg and some milk with the wholemeal flour @bubbs ?

I've been meaning to ask about your mum. Good to hear she's getting out. Is she using a scooter? 🤔

No i use 20g plain wholemeal flour, 2 eggs, pinch salt and water, i have never used milk in yorkies.

No she won't use the scooter, she couldn't in town anyway as wouldn't get it in the taxi, she lives in a village but can;t get the bus anymore so gets a taxi if one of us don't take her. She does not go town often as it wears her out, she has a big rollator with a seat on it.

She is really suffering with her knees terribly at the moment, she has doctors Friday, she has also had an appointment for her eye, it came for 22nd dec, she cancelled that, was remade for 8th Jan, i had an email today, been changed too 12th Jan now 🙄

Them sausages were really nice , they do have a slight peppery taste but i really liked them.

DH has cancer bloods tomorrow so 🙏🙏 then we have a haircut in other town

Tea 1 sv and half fibre

    Lunch free

Morning all, not looking quite as nice today but looks like the sun is trying to break through the clouds!

Hope your DH's bloods go well today and he gets the results quickly. Sometimes it seems worse waiting for results than the actual test.

Need to get a few bits from the shops today to take with us. DH wants Cornish pasty tomorrow (sometimes I which I'd never started with the pasties as a meal when we go on holiday!). Need to buy some skirt beef to make them so first stop will be the butchers as I also need to return a parcel and the Post Office is near the butchers. Will then need to go to Sittingbourne as have a query with one of DH's savings account and far easier to speak to someone face to face than try and "talk" to a chatbot!

    Today's plan:

    B - bacon & mushroom sandwich
L - boiled eggs, asparagus (hopefully I can get some! - if not it'll be more bread!)
    D - mushroom stroganoff

Calcium - milk, Seriously strong light cheddar spread
    Fibre - bread
Swips - none planned (unless I can't get the asparagus)

    Have a good day everyone.
