Gosh @bubbs that 3 years has gone so quickly - sending you hugs xx
I didn’t have the sausages because DH didn’t buy risotto rice so I went to the post office and popped into Co-op but no luck. The alternative was Burger in a Bowl - but DH hadn’t bought any 5% beef mince (🙄) so I got some. Bullet dodged. I will pop to M&S for rice and Aldi for skinny sausages after I’ve been to group tomorrow.
I need to take Mum and her BFF to the coach hub early doors so will be up and ready for group. Also had a text to say I’m not needed at work next week. Beginning to think I should just retire!Cross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2026 founding member 😊 Read 26 books in 2026 15/26 Currently

Morning all, we're home and the first load of washing is in the machine - of course of it was already in the wash basket, it isn't all from the couple of days away! Now out on the line drying.
Hope group went well this morning @Coxy11 and A is a good consultant. Have you signed up for a Countdown course so you get the book?
If you can afford to retire I would definitely recommend it. Biggest problem is remembering what day of the week it is when you wake up!
Can't believe it's 3 years @bubbs - where has the time gone!
Managed to get SW friendly meals when we were out and about. Wednesday I had gammon, new potatoes, 4 veg! and yesterday I had chicken breast, tender stem broccoli, pleas & mash - probably a few Swips in the mash but better than something with chips which is what was available most places!
Today's plan:
B - weetabix, milk - Fibre; calcium
L - ham salad - P; S
D - chicken curry, rice - P; S; F; 3Calcium - milk x 2
Fibre - weetabix
Swips - mango chutney 3Have a good day everone.

You did well to find SW friendly meals while you were away @joedenise .👍🏼
Hope you got on OK this morning @Coxy11 . I'll be interested to know if you learned anything new.🤔
Some rain is forecast at 4pm but I'll believe that when I see it!
It's still 27 degrees here and forecast to stay that way into next week. I've done my meal plan for the week and tried hard to come up with meals that aren't too heavy and don't require hours in the kitchen. I might batch cook some Bolognese but that's in the SC so no effort once the veg is prepped.
Will go and get the shopping done shortly and revel in the air conditioned shops!🤣
Today's plan-
B- scrambled eggs on toast (P, fibre), milk (calcium)
L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), green stuff, mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
Swips- weekend wine😁0 -
Hi all,
Well it's official, I'm back to group. I was the only new member but an existing member wanted to sit in on the talk. Good to have the new book (just the one book combined) and will try to read a bit each day. I got a bit tearful with A - she is lovely and has just taken over the group, so I feel it's a fresh start for us both. Only 8 stayed and all retired ladies, but not complaining as they were all very chatty. My starting weight was a lot, but I've set a realistic target so let's see what happens. I've bought a 12 week countdown and will get the recipe book next week, also bought 2 x hi fi bars. I think they undercharged me as I didn't pay a joining fee??
I didn't have breakfast as had to drop Mum and her friend to the coach hub, then back home for half an hour then took half an hour to get across town to group due to the school run. They break up today though so hopefully the next few weeks will be easier. Not like I've got anywhere else to be. I went to A$da after group to get a few bits including lacto-free skimmed milk, Ryvita Wholegrain crackerbreads and some more salad. Also got LM sausages for my portion of risotto plus Arborio rice.
Food today:
B - strawberries, tea, coffee - S, 1/2 Calcium
L - 8 Ryvita Wholegrain crackerbreads, 55g pepper infused seriously cheese spread, cucumber, apple - Fibre, Calcium, S
D - sausage risotto, parmesan - will make mine separately with the LM sausages and use a white wine stock cube instead of actual wine - Free, S, 1/2 Calcium
SWIPs - Hi Fi bar - 3
Not a lot of food today due to early start and discombobulation(!) plus DS1 and DDIL have been here a few hours updating us on their friends wedding yesterday. I'm going to go through the fridge and bin anything that has been there since before I went to Cyprus(!) and make a list for SM shop this weekend.

Glad you’ve found a group that suits you Coxy. I’m definitely thinking of rejoining after we move as it might be a way of meeting people- there aren’t as many to choose from down there though. I had the choice of any day of the week within a couple of miles from here.
i was at a friends funeral yesterday so did have a couple of sandwiches and cake but otherwise I’ve stayed on plan. I haven’t been doing any exercise though - I’m a bit unbalanced with the contraption on my arm so a tad wary. I’d sink like a brick if I tried swimming. I’m visiting ds at weekend so will jump on his scales.January spends - £587.580 -
Time certainly flies, hope you’re feeling better @bubbs
Your group sounds good @Coxy11 I’m sure you’ll have a good loss next week
I picked up parents this morning and as well as shopping we went to pharmacy to sort out prescriptions (again!) and the diy place (don’t ask 🙈) then I sat on the phone for an hour trying to unravel whatever mum has done to her mobile phone!
I did buy ingredients for bolognaise, chilli, meatballs, savoury mince and a huge ham. Like you @maman it’s all going in the slow cooker at various points over the weekend. Ham is cooking just now and I’ll make the meatballs up and freeze uncooked as I’m not putting the oven on just for them.Food has been on plan and resisted buying wine so 🤞for a loss tomorrow.

Morning all, it's the weekend again. Where does the time go? The older I get the faster the time seems to go!
I'm glad that A is lovely and you've found a good new group @Coxy11. I think she may have taken over from B with that Friday am group as I'm fairly sure that B used to run that one when I used to go to group. I'm glad that she actually did the welcome talk - B has given up on that for new members! She just tells you to watch the video online which I thought a bit odd and did wonder if it was a new thing that consultants were doing but it seems not.
I'm also planning on a bit of batch cooking this weekend but not really sure what yet although it will involve mince as I've got quite a bit of that in the freezer. It will probably end up as a sort of savoury mince which then get split to turn into bolognaise, chilli and cottage pie. Also planning on buying a gammon joint when I go shopping which we'll have tomorrow for dinner and DH can slice on the machine for ham which can be portioned and frozen (he uses an electric slicer but I'm a bit wary of it!
Well done @beanielou on a great NSV - size 12, woohoo!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 1
L - tuna salad sandwich, pickles - Fibre; P; S
D - chicken, bacon & mushroom pasta in tomato sauce, mozzarella - Calcium; P; S; FFibre - bread
Calcium - milk, mozzarella
Swips - sausage 1; couple G&Ts 6Have a good day everyone.

Morning!
Whoohoo @beanielou thats fantastic! 👏
You could be correct @joedenise as A said she had officially taken over the group this week but appears she’s been covering for a while. That could also explain the existing member sitting in on the new member talk. A bit naughty of B really although she has been doing it donkeys years. I first joined with her in 2004! It was weird going back onto the Meads as we bought a house off plan there in 2001 but it’s more than doubled in size since then.
We are on watering duty at the allotment today so will be going early doors. Will probably spend some time in our garden today too.
Food today:B - spinach omelette - P, S
L - JP, tuna, 1tbsp light mayo, salad, pickles - 0.5, 2, S
D - Aldi protein chicken skewers, Ainsley roasted veg couscous, salad - 2, 1, S
Calcium - milk
Will revert with fibre and second calcium choice!
