It's hit and miss here with the scrap collections. If they happen to be along the road then they'll take something but hard to book them.

We passed a freezer onto neighbours @joedenise that wanted it for an overflow in the garage. Will you be able to buy a bigger one? 🤔

DD1 gave me a packet of PoN herb mix for campfire stew

    IMG_20260501_171616.jpg

They were giving them away in Company Shop. I'm assuming as they're mostly herbs and spices they'll be low swip? 🤔

Aside from the potential crumble you should be OK with 2 fibre and 1 calcium choice @Glad .

Good luck with WI tomorrow @bubbs and @Jellybaby .🤞

    Today's plan -

B--bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F), toast (fibre), milk (calcium)

    L- ham (P), bubble and squeak (F, S), pickles (S)

D - salmon (P), SW chips (F), green stuff, tomatoes (S), garlic mushrooms (S, calcium)

    Swips - weekend wine 😁

    Hi all,

Good luck to those weighing in today x

Glad your neighbour could make use of the freezer @joedenise DH had to get the schools one collected (for £30?) as the scrap wouldn’t be interested apparently. Thanks for your PM 😉

It’s been a really odd week - WFH on Wednesday and it was busy so I ended up just picking at food. Both adult children went out so we headed to the pub for dinner. I chose monkfish with braised leeks which was lovely. DH got the cheeseboard for pudding - I helped a bit 😳 but did eat all the celery too. We also shared a bottle of wine.

Thursday I donated blood so ate a cooked breakfast on plan and had a toasted bagel with Philly for lunch. Yesterday I was at the allotment so again, grabbed a bagel for lunch as needed to pop out and run some errands then colour my hair!!

Have realised I’m rubbish at tracking my meals so really need to work on this and plan BEFORE I eat it. @joedenise how do you do this - is it a spreadsheet? I can plan evening meals no problem but breakfast and lunch is a real challenge for me.

Am back in my old town for lunch with ex-neighbours today. They are still to visit me…must be further for them to come here… we are going to an independent Italian place so hoping for some sort of tomato-based pasta dish. Dinner is SW easy chicken curry with rice.

    Food today:

B - AF bacon, poached egg, toasted bagel thin - P, fibre

    L - pasta - hopefully low SWIP

D - SW easy chicken curry, rice - free

    Calcium - milk

    SWIPs - tbc

Morning all, nice day but not as sunny as yesterday although supposed to sunny later.

Think we've got everything sorted for the off on Monday apart from popping to Tesco before we go to the airport to get a sandwich or something to eat on the plane.

Re meal planning @Coxy11 I use a table rather than spreadsheet as find it easier - I have a template saved so just need to add the month in the header box! I check what HM ready meals I've got in the freezer, what meats/fish etc and use that to start off the evening meals.

I check if there are any mornings where we need an early breakfast (Monday and Friday usually when my DSis phones - if we don't eat before she calls it will be 10 before we get breakfast!). We generally have cereal or overnight oats. Then it's a case of filling in the rest of the breakfasts. Once they're all filled in I know whether or not I've used a Fibre choice and/or Calcium choice. Then it's a case of sorting out lunches. Must admit it seems to be getting more difficult than it used to be, mainly because I'm getting fed up cooking/eating the same things. Really must sort out some more new recipes to try!

When doing the evening meals I try not to have the same carb on consecutive nights but it doesn't always work that way!

@maman - unfortunately I can't fit in a bigger freezer as it's an under counter size space it needs to fit in. The old one didn't last very long, only about 4 years, so I've gone for a better brand this time and it will hopefully last a bit longer! It will also match the washing machine and tumble dryer! Once we're back from holiday I'll be doing a fair bit of batch cooking in order to get some HM ready meals into it.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 4
    L - scotch broth - P; S; F
    D - beef curry, rice, naan, mango chutney - Fibre; P; S; F; 3

    Calcium - milk
    Fibre - naan
Swips - hash brown 4; mango chutney 3

    Have a good day everyone.

    morning all.

Well after weeks of falling off the wagon & losing sight of it, I have given my head a wobble & and a good talking to!

    Life and lazy choices 🙄.

So this week I had a loss of wait for it…… 5lb 😱 could have knocked me down with a feather 😂. All I have really done is stopped eating popcorn (was eating buckets of it). See how I go next week 🤞🏻.

Since turning 60 my mouth runs away with me 😜. We had a bump in sons car, i said to hubby I’ll deal with the other driver as hubby can lose the plot. I lost the plot instead 😂 the !!!!!! (called him that) in the Tesla was in the wrong. Luckily no damage to either car but boy did he get an earful 😂😂. I seem to be more confident & speak up for myself & others. In other words stay out my way 😜.

Been told where we are in September, I have been allocated the SEND class with non verbal & autism reception to Y2 children mainly for medical needs. The downside is my back but DSL are aware so we will see how it goes. Upside I’m with my bestie so the dream team is back together 🤗🤗.
More good news is 1-1 at the moment, is on part time timetable until SATS so have afternoons free to do anything i can’t get done with them there.

Now a long weekend to relax 🥰 have a good one everyone 💜

Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Good to "see" you @TakeItEazy. Glad there was no injuries to people or cars in the bump. Good for you standing up for yourself. I think we all get better at doing that once we're the wrong side of 60! I'm ceetainly more assertive than I ever was when I was younger!

That's an absolutely brilliant loss - I've never ever lost 5lb in one go! Well done.

Great loss @TakeItEazy 🎉 and good no one was hurt. Definitely found my voice since turning 60 🤣🤣

The expected gain was 2.5 and I’m chuffed with that. The downside to this coming week is that I’m out almost every day! But I’m determined to be 100% on plan for the meals I can control so we’ll see how it goes.

I had a coffee and banana in group then a bacon roll (fibre) when I got back. I’m having a late lunch/early dinner as I’m out for drinks at 7. Thinking bolognaise or pasta bake with salad to fill me up.

Well done @bubbs - 2lb is a good loss when you're already at target. Just need to be careful you don't lose this week and drop out of range.

I'm sure you'll "see" me again tomorrow!
