Today I rejoined SW for what feels like the hundredth time !

I am waiting for another hip replacement just 2 years from the first ( other hip not the same one ) also the x- ray reports that my lower back is crumbling

I can only wait for the surgeon to do his stuff with the hip,but managing the back pain is really in my hands ,losing this excess weight and exercising is the only thing to help the pain ,the hip restricts the exercise at the moment and .Im feeling v down about it all .

The good thing is that our lovely consultant, who left last year over the new system has returned and opened a group at the time my friend and I find the most convenient

It didnโ€™t seem that much different swips seems another name for syns and I like the3 healthy extras

Slimming World does work for me when i follow it properly,so please may I rejoin you for the extra support

I have to make it work this time ,I am nearly 77and want to be independent and enjoy life as much as possible .

    Sorry for the essay

Good to hear from you @Suffolksue .I'm sure rejoining is the right thing to do and great that it's with your old consultant. ๐Ÿ‘

I can echo that losing weight is a big plus for mobility. I know when I lost the excess weight I literally felt lighter on my feet when dancing.

Donโ€™t worry about the lack of exercise, just do what you can, it's eating the right things that will help you. We've had wheelchair users get to target in my old group.

Yesterday, I had one course of a lovely piece of hake with new potatoes and broccoli for my restaurant lunch. There was a herb crust on the fish (few breadcrumbs? ๐Ÿค”) but otherwise on plan.

This afternoon, I've prepped tonight and tomorrow's dinner and made up meatballs which I'll cook tomorrow when the oven's on.

How did you get on today @bubbs and @Jellybaby ?

    Today's plan -

B porridge (fibre), milk (calcium), raspberries (S), banana (F)

    L- omelette (P, S), salad (S)

    D pork casserole with rice (P, S, F)

Swips - casserole sauce 4, weekend wine ๐Ÿ˜

Hi all - has been a beautiful sunny day here. It was our community allotment open day today and I helped with potting on some lettuce plants and with the cake stall.

Food last night at the AmDram - I took cucumber and carrot batons plus some houmous, so SWIPs there. Also had some crisps and a couple of cracker thins. I stuck to Pepsi max and water. I will have been over SWIPs for yesterday but hopefully limited the damage.

    Food today:

    B - sausage bap - WM roll, Aldi skinny sausages x 2, tbsp ketchup - fibre, 2.5

L - various homemade salads and a veg/chickpea chilli plus cakeโ€ฆ. At the allotment

D - grilled chilli and soy salmon, rice, pak choi, tender stem broccoli - P, free, S

    Calcium - milk

    SWIPs - flexibleโ€ฆ AGAIN!

Well done for rejoining @Suffolksue have a good first week xxx

    Nice to โ€˜seeโ€™ you again @Suffolksue ๐Ÿ‘‹

I was very disappointed this morning with a half pound gain. I know itโ€™s a wee gain but honestly, Iโ€™m so fed up. Anyhoo, no point grumbling, Iโ€™ll plod on.

I had an unexpected trip to parents after group so had breakfast with them - toast, jam 2 swips, and coffee. Missed lunch as I was busy cleaning and looking out clothes to pack for trip on Tuesday. Dinner was steak, chips, and a huge salad (3 swips for dressing).

Maman, i put 2lb on, no idea why ๐Ÿ˜ข We also got told our consultant is leaving next week, yes we knew she was a temp, but been there nearly 3 yrs! Well then there was uproar, we have her next week, then another for 1 week (she is lovely i go to her if i go Fridays) then for 3 weeks we are having an old hag no one likes ๐Ÿ˜ขthen getting our new one who is a consultant that is moving up from down south .

To say i was really peeded off is an understatement, Social team and she didn't even have the decency to tell us first, well she never told me! Also i believe the others got a cheery hi fi bar, i didn't! Not that i wanted one but would have been nice to be offered, otherwise how would they know hey taste like cherry bakewell?

We have been playing pickfords today ๐Ÿคฃmeausred up for new blinds then decided to move units about ๐Ÿคฃ

    Lunch was 4 sv

Tea was fibre and 1.5 calcium

Oh dear, your group is really being messed around @bubbs and the lack of courtesy to social team ( unpaid volunteers!) just isn't good enough. ๐Ÿคฌ

Sorry about the gains for you and @Jellybabyi@Jellybaby๏ปฟ, SW is so infuriating when you can't explain it. ๐Ÿค”

Hope you've got everything you need to go away on Tuesday @jellie
