Glad you are back on PADs that feel more 'you'

I haven't broken any china lately and realise I do it more when I am stressed.

I second ideas to 'reinforce' Little Miss with books and films where outsiders are depicted positively. Also thinking she might thrive at drama club if there is anything like that available

The world feels right again now I'm padding again!

My breaks were just carelessness. The first was I dropped a plate on top of another with a soapy hand, and the second I'd stacked badly so it slipped off and hit the concrete floor. My fault, but no less annoying!

Thank you for the suggestions. She's doing a drama club at school at the moment which she's enjoying. I've suggested it before, but she's been shy about performing. Perhaps this will bring her out of her shell a bit.

Thank you. I feel better for doing the PADs again.

I don't know about the plate, but I'm sure they'd have something similar as it's just a plain one. We have plenty of the plates I don't like so there's no hurry 😂

Happy Thursday! It's been a busy week. I've done the first of three 3 hour sessions on ADHD. It was interesting but felt quite long.

Little miss and I are meant to be going into town at the weekend for a girls day out, but she's come out of school with what appears to be a sprained ankle, so we'll have to see how up for walking around she is.

We're going through a pay and grading review at work which concerns me as I do an awful lot more than my JD says. I'm not sure whether to push for an update now or appeal it once the process is done. My big worry is that if I get regraded, I might lose my TUPE protection which in particular would mean the loss of my redundancy multiplier. But then it seems that I might lose my TUPE anyway if the unions agree a collective deal to move to new T&Cs. I don't know what to do for the best. Because of my TUPE I'm paid a grade above what the role is, and I worry they'll take me back down to that. If I get regraded, it might well become the grade I'm on or even higher, but there's no guarantee. I don't want to be in the situation where I agree new T&C and then get made redundant which happened to someone I know in the last round.

You might want to get some advice on that TUPE depends if it is contractual or collective, collective agreements can be amended but only if the overall 'value' of the package doesn't change and I would argue that enhanced redundancy has significant value. That said I have seen unions agree to things with a pay off 'in the wider interest' of their members but if it would stand at tribunal is a different matter.
