Thank you all, it's a big relief!
Thank you 😊 Happy birthday to DGS as well!
Little miss has decided to go to the school disco later, so hopefully that's a good sign! She's also got a part in the play in her drama after school club, so she was happy yesterday.
I love my compressed hours, and would love to go part time - even if just reducing to 'normal' hours on the days I work, but it's not feasible yet sadly. My ability to retire early relies on me working full time up until I leave, and it will also depend on what the kids do after school and how much I've managed to save towards that! My early retirement will realistically be the point at which I go part time - but somewhere else, not in my job. I can't imagine for a second I'd be able to go part time, I'd just be trying to do full time work in part time hours! Of course if I win the lottery or PBs then all that will change 😁
I hope you have a good day too!

Happy payday! I've paid the CC bill so I'm now skint this month 😂
It's a bit like the bad old days again, though at least this time it's voluntary and I've got money I can dip into if I need it. Realistically I probably will need to, but hopefully I can minimise how much. I've decided I'm still going to keep a record of any extra money I get in and I will try and catch up with the PADs next month. In the meantime it will just be used to top up my bank account. I'm still going to do my usual £2 pads if I can so I don't break the habit, but just not any extras.
It doesn't help that I have to buy McDs for 8 tomorrow! I've been to the supermarket this morning to get birthday cake and some fruit, and I paid for that using cash I had rather than debit card so I've left my account intact at the moment.

Happy March! It's so nice to feel that spring is here. I count meterological spring as I don't want to wait another 3 weeks 😁 There's loads of blossom and flowers around so nature agrees.
I'm not doing well with the not spending this month, as yesterday as well as the McDs, I also wound up buying a book for little miss (we'd gone in to get the free word book day book), a ball for her, and some new football boots for little jwil. I've just bought myself some kindle books from my wishlist that are on offer as well 🤦♀️ The other day our Prime membership came out as well which I'd forgotten was due.
I'm struggling with not doing my PADs as normal. I got around £5 in interest this month and withdrew a small amount from ebay yesterday and want to pad it! I also purchased my PBs as normal yesterday as I couldn't face not adding to them. Half my PADs go to savings anyway, so I'll just take the money out if I have to and see if I can replace as much as possible. but also try and minimise the amount I need to withdraw by attempting to be frugal!.

I'm with you on counting the start of March as spring, we need all the positivity we can get after that wet dreary February.

I went back to my normal PADs today and feel much better for it. Most of the DDs had come out today as well so I know better what I've got left for the month.
I broke another plate yesterday! Again, one of the ones I like. There's nothing special about them, they are just from the Swedish place, but they have a nice feel to them. I'm not sure the rest of the house appreciated me hoovering at 7am but it had shattered into a million pieces, and spread across the whole room so I wasn't convinced I'd got it all by sweeping.
DH sold a few things so they are gone.
