I would certainly speak to ACAS for some impartial advice. Maybe also speak to the unions and ask their opinion as I’m sure you won’t be alone in this situation and there will have been other instances of this, surely?
If you’re going to lose the multiplier anyway then I would ask for a review now as you’ve nothing to lose but a lot to gain. When you are listing what you do, try and add in what value this is bringing to the business or how it is aligned to business priorities?
We went through something similar last year where the T&Cs were reviewed and streamlined, they consulted and then we all got an individual email with the impacting of moving to the new T&Cs. We had to confirm if we wanted to move to the new terms or not.
For me it was that my sickness pay entitlement would be halving (which I may need due to chronic health condition) but I’d be entitled to overtime (which I don’t claim / do with nature of my role). I decided at the time not to go ahead and vowed to change roles where the T&Cs were unaffected (we have numerous functions in the business). If we didn’t agree, there was a clause in the consultation that we would move to the new T&Cs if we moved roles, job title etc, basically anything that changed your contract. I get where they were coming from but it was very stressful.
Not entirely the same situation but just wanted to message in appreciation of the stress these things cause.
Fingers crossed all will be regraded in your favour (quite rightly) and you are able to keep the multiplier

Thank you, that's useful. I'll try and do some more research and seek advice. My TUPE is almost 20 years old, and I understood it was permanent unless I changed roles. My redundancy is 3 x, whereas the current organisation is statutory only so there is a huge difference in value.
That's a good idea, thank you.

Thank you for that 😊
Thank you. It was actually a meeting with the unions that have caused more confusion and concern. I'm not impressed with them. I will try and seek independent advice. Lots of people in the workforce are on (varying) TUPE terms and conditions hence the change. I thought that we would be given the choice to stay on current or move to the new ones (unless we changed roles). The unions seem to be saying otherwise.
It is stressful. We've just been through years of stress with the redundancies, now this. sigh

it’s certainly not good for staff morale or productivity. Try to enjoy your weekend.

ACAS are generally great but in my experience they are not that great at specialist things like TUPE, and the unions sometimes act in the wider interest of all members rather than protecting the individual unless someone flags up concerns. I suspect the advice will be that if changes are forced then you may be advised to work 'under protest' and register your written objection on the basis that the changes are connected to TUPE and that your overall package has worsened.

It's not at all. I'm not going to think about it too much over the weekend.
Thank you. I am going to see if I can find out some specific information. I think the unions are going for that wider perspective as its the whole organisation.

I'm off out with little miss today and DH is taking little jwil to visit his uncle. SW first and I'm hoping for a loss as I've had a good week this week. I maintained last week, but feel more back on it now.
Little miss and I are having a girly day so there will probably be cake in the day and we might also be ladies who lunch. I'm sure it might be a bit of a spendy day, but it should be nice.
I'm not doing great with earning extra cash so far this month, so need to crack on. I've been better with spending though.
