So hard for little miss and for you. Has she gone into any specifics about why she feels like an outsider? Anything that could be tried to be made into a positive with books that are for that age group about that issue? Is it time for another chat with the school about if action plans are being implemented?
You will absolutely smash it paying off workspace with mse ways, looking forward to being inspired 🍻

Thank you all, I really hope she'll find her tribe at some point. She's always struggled socially with her peers and that is why the school referred her to be assessed for ASD. I hadn't noticed anything as we don't socialise a lot with other children. She's very articulate and confident with adults, so part of me hopes she'll find it easier as she grows up. I think it's partly she doesn't have confidence to approach people, so if they don't invite her, she won't join in. Also, she'll take things very personally, so if someone doesn't want to play one day, then she'll read that as they don't want to be friends any more. She's also not as naturally sporty as some of the other children, so isn't perhaps as able to do the gymnastics type stuff they do at playtime. I think school are genuinely making an effort to help her socialise a bit more, she said she had a good day yesterday, and has been moved to a table with girls that she likes. I do want to get some books for her, and perhaps sit and watch some things with her so she gets a better idea of what friendship looks like, and it's not always rosy!

It sounds like you are doing all you can, you're such a supportive mum :)
What kind of programmes does Little Miss watch? My DS has N3tflix and D1sn3y+ as he isn't allowed socials or Y0u Tube, I'm trying to think what he has watched that might be helpful… Diary of a Wimpy Kid is good (there's a cartoon and a human version of the same film!), where he has a best friend and they fall out, he also has a big brother that annoys him etc, to show that life isn't always positive and light. I'm not sure whether that would be appropriate?
I'll have a think today to see if there any other examples too. Sending lots of hugs x

Thank you, any recommendations would be very useful! She's read a few of the wimpy kid books. She does have you tube, but also watches animations and cartoons a lot. I'm trying to steer her towards a little more real life acting so she can see real people interacting. We started watching the babysitters club the other day, just because I used to like those books when I was a kid 😁

Over £200 for February! That's impressive 😁
This week has gone so quickly. I'm very glad it's almost my weekend though. Little jwil's birthday this weekend so we are taking him and little miss and a few of his friends to a VR place, then McDs.
DH informed me yesterday that there are talks going around his work that much of it will be moving 50 miles away, so he's not sure how much longer he'll have a job as he's certainly not paid enough to warrant a 100 mile commute. I don't know whether it's confirmed or just gossip at the moment. I wonder when we'll ever get a break! 😫

the rumours aren’t great but at least you know that every pad is putting you in a stronger position to manage any loss of income

I do feel for little miss my DD was similar when she was at school, although she did have a handful of friends. She's just been diagnosed with autism and ADHD as an adult which explains a lot.
Oh no to DH's job rumours, not what you needed to hear. There's always something isn't there. Hopefully just a rumour.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
