Well done @Elisheba and good luck with your property purchase.
Had bad anxiety symptoms last night which made me think about how the house would appear to anyone if they had to come in and deal with it instead of me (yes, a bit morbid for 3am!). So there is some impetus to get rid of some of the shame.
Read and deleted some emails that I needed to go through.
Put my suitcase away after Christmas (now that I no longer need a bucket under the boiler owing to a frozen condensate pipe).
Went through the stuff on my bedroom dressser, repurposed a nice empty box from the study for my hair bands, and dusted it. It looks much better now.
About to start going through the plastic tubs ... I may be some time!!21 -

Saturday is cloudy but quite bright, high of 4° (feeling 4° colder due to a gusting NNW wind) low of 0°. No rain forecast. Up later today (11:30) to find td on as DSis has done one load of laundry. Settling down to cheerleading the last few posts dated the 6th:
Liverpool_Anne, that sounds like a lovely day spent with your friends M & E 🥹 despite the long drive. Fingers crossed that E gets bumped up the list for her knee replacement surgery 🤞 Lovely cheerleading ☺️ & thank you for my 💐
TC77, no need to ‘creep in at the back of the class’, as procrastinating about the single shoe lace turned into a wise decision 👏 Yippee to the old mattress being collected 🥳 Good luck for the weekend decluttering sessions 🍀 Hopefully DD1 will help you reach your target of 250 without any falling out between you 🤞Just wondering if I have missed DD2 going back to Australia 🤔 or does she have another week here? Either way I do hope she has enjoyed/is enjoying herself & had/has a safe trip back to complete her studies ☺️
regnbue, sounds like your aran jumper is still hiding 😉 I had forgotten about vulpix’s errant dressing gown 🤭 I am now back to imagining a van driver travelling around the country wearing said dressing gown 😂
TC77 re This “I told dd1 about someone referring to the room of non requirements rather than the room of doom to which she quipped 'so you're going to just have one'?” your DD1 is quite the comedienne isn’t she 😂
Last of the posts dated the 6th 🥳 hadn’t realised quite how close I was 😉
Excellent work sorting out both the bedding & your yarn supply SpikyHedgehog 👏 Very well done resisting Justin’s blandishments to keep all the bedding 😊
Beautiful sentiment Floss 🥹
vulpix, I am going to stick with my van driver image as it is more fun than thinking of your dressing gown languishing in a black bin bag 😂 Thank you for the lovely compliment ☺️ Well done sorting out the banana box of stuff & decluttering/redistributing so much of it 👏 Isn’t that just typical that the phone should ring whilst you were fully engrossed in sorting out the bedding, towels, tablecloths etc ☹️ Hopefully you managed to get them tidied away before your cleaner arrived 🤞
One more page caught up 🥳
I hope everyone is having a good Saturday & managing to stay warm & dry 🙂

Just a quick post as we have an appointment in town later, we'll DH has but its for UC and I sort all that so he wouldn't have a clue.
DCs we're asking for pocket money earlier, told them not until half an hour at least was done in their room. I did have to go and help but beds were cleaned out and made. Computer desk cleared off, shelves between the beds cleared off and under both beds sorted and swept out. Lots of rubbish, recycling and washing.
Will tackle the other 2 kids rooms later.
Thank you for comments about the DVDs. Ive downloaded 2 apps and will try and sort through a box later. I was going to try now but the boxes are buried so need to wait for DH to dig one out (once he's up the one in the bedroom will be the easier one, tge others are down the side of the dryer in the utility room).
Right I better get ready to go.

Florenceem said:I woke at 4.30 and couldn't get back to sleep so had an early start.
Re the advice on taking it easy and sitting - I was diagnosed with LS in September so long spells of sitting are not good. I have invested in a special seat with appropriate cut outs. I had never heard of LS - Lichen Sclerosus and so joined a discussion group. I was getting agonising pain until I was given the right medication. I still get a lot of pain but it is no longer the rocking and crying level.
My Dil visited today - she came with a bag of food as worried that I am not eating. I did eat a shepherd's pie meal with tinned tomatoes - first food I have vaguely enjoyed since Christmas day. I am even not eating chocolate!
There are half pint tankards in the cabinet with the Round Table emblem - not sure what to do with those.
I deep cleaned the end of the hall where the shoe rack sits - so dust bunnies have gone. The rack only contains four pairs of shoes now - that set me crying.
As part of keeping busy and because it was long overdue - I deep cleaned the cloakroom - now I have found the sink is leaking at the pipework. A chap from Church is coming to have a look later this afternoon.
Brie - too complicated for me at the moment re uploading pics.@ Florenceem - lovely to see you on the MSE board since Mr.F went to glory
My prayers, thoughts and sympathy are with you all at this time
I found deep cleaning helped me keep occupied after the passing of my hubby, but it then expanded on to painting the whole of the inside of the house, which really wasn't a bad thing either. I hope you got your leaky sink sorted
I'm not able to spend long times sitting and using a comp or a phone, so am only posting now and then. More then, than now. I'm still decluttering my usual HH bins ect everyday along with the usual HH chores, slowly but surely and have finally finished the last of packing up the outside Chrissy decorations. Mainly the light up wire coat hanger Daxies which I've just now added & secured their homemade Rudolf red noses & antlers ready for Christmas

Project declutter the rest of the wire coat hangers into making a Christmas angel is presently under way; bottom section completed, but I can only do a little at a time as I get tired easily and actually have to rest to heal, as well as negotiating all my spine support braces which thankfully, restrict my movements
Babyface thinks I've turned into RoboCop by the way I'm moving, especially as there are beeping noises coming from me as I do, which she finds great fun as she thinks I'm playing the 'I'm coming to get you' monster game in between giving her raspberry tummy blow kisses on the bed - The things I get distracted by
Sometimes, I would just love to be in her head to see what she's imagining & experiencing, or perhaps not as the case may be!
I need to pop off again and take another break and have a rest, so I will try to catch up on some more posts when I can and well done to everyone who is gun-ho with decluttering in 2026! Lunchtime walk completed! Back on the couch with YouTube on and a cuppa.
I'm back on my True Crime fix right now, my there are a lot of right evil people in this world. Scary stuff.
3:30pm I'm gonna go and tidy my bedroom.
Really need to do better with the housework but honestly I am SO bad at keeping up with it.
It's one of my 2026 things to be better at it so I'll get there.Debt Free - 4th June 202522 -

Saturday continued: DH is finally up 😉 still catching up on the sleep he missed whilst watching England being thrashed in the Test matches (cricket). Back to the cheerleading:
BlueJ94, hope your “consolidation loan” has come through 🙏 as it would great to start the year on a firmer financial footing 😊
ruby_eskimo, well done starting your decluttering journey 👏 & good luck with your January goal of using up all your herbal tea 🍀 You have reminded me that I have a jar of herbal teabags in the cupboard which I should really use up, although I think it will take me longer than a month 😉
Sound advice Floss 👏
tibawo, This “Not quite sure if it is right to say that it’s great to see is not just me who has so much clutter?!” is neither right nor wrong 😉 more like expressing relief that you are not alone 😅 Well done on tackling the kitchen 👏 hopefully it won’t be too long before you are just as pleased as DD1 😊 Hopefully someone here will be able to give you an indication as to the cost of boarding the loft 🤞
daisy_1571, I knew someone here would have useful information 😊 Thank you for taking the time to reply to tibawo’s query 👏
SeekingFlight, well done on starting your decluttering journey 👏
grandmanerd, the returned bags are definitely important 😊 After all not only will you have less clutter (bags tend to take up a lot of space relative to their size ☹️) but you are also getting monetary credit as well as being eco friendly - win/win/win 👏 Relieved to hear that you are recovering albeit not as quickly as you would like 😊 Please take care 🙏 & continue to remind yourself of how far you have come already 🙏
GrannyKate, yippee to the mattress being gone 🥳 Hope the meeting went well 🤞& well done on sticking to your diet 👏 + thanks for the reminder about the 1p challenge 👏 I need to empty my Terramundi pot of last year’s 1p Challenge monies & more to the point start treating myself 😉 Hopefully the builder can give you a quote for the loft ladder & boarding the loft 🤞 As to This “I asked DGS4 if he would part with any of his plushies etc but he said no - he has an equal number at both parent's homes!” how cute 🥰
QueenJess, well done bringing the new little wooden drawers into use immediately 👏 I like This “Every time I open a drawer or cupboard I've been casting my eye over the contents for a few seconds to see if there is anything in there that isn't being used. If not, why not, can it be used from now or will I never use it? Hopefully it means everything will get used and if not, it can be ejected from the house. Again, just a tactic to maintain what I have and stop things building up. Lots of things destined to be used up for sure, but that is going to be a long game!” 😊 & really need to follow your example as I have started to notice that closing drawers is becoming more difficult ☹️ Congratulations on reaching your first target 🥳 A Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way.
A couple more pages caught up but am now flagging 😞 I will post this & then treat myself to a bit of knitting & see if there is anything I can watch & clear from the TV planner. See you later 👋

Mine is similar. It's a Pro Breeze, not sure of the model number. The wheels have fallen off mine. My fault
