vulpix - are you from Derbyshire as that saying is something my dil's dad says.
Very wet and windy here overnight.
I popped out when the rain had eased a bit to get some milk.
This matinee jacket is tiny so could be doll's clothes.

we appear to have decluttered a fence panel. Or more accurately our neighbour has. I hope the realise it's their panel and not ours!! It's possible that it's reusable so it might be a matter of simply putting it back in place. I'll check tomorrow when it's a tad less blowy.

Happy Friday, hope everyone is okay and not been effect by Storm Austin, in Derbyshire it's not been too bad so far, the wind has just got up and it is trying to rain on and off.
My college project is nearly done, not sure if it's missing something or if it's just me. I have also sorted some more of my diamonds out that I had left and sorted out what I have to do.
I give downstairs and the stairs a good hoover and it does look better, DS's toys seems to have taken over downstairs again so I put them all I one place it does look tidied but still needs sorting at some point, all his teddy's have gone back upstairs.
Been using things up in the freezer, it's hotdogs for tea tonight and then watching the football ⚽️ tonight.
Some bits have gone into the charity shop bag and morein to the rag bag might take them next week.
Think that's everything for now, take care

Storm Austin hitting me now 😂 sounds like some other places have had it pretty rough! Hopefully everyone's fences survive the weekend

Hope all of you come through Storm Austin okay. We came through our storm okay although several areas in California and Arizona didn't do so well and a tornado was reported further north. We never used to worry about tornados, and no one has a basement here to get into. I was so surprised when one hit here back when I was having knee surgery. I saw the green sky as we were going to the hospital. Never had seen that before - or since. Hit down here in town and several other places, but we were all okay. They keep predicting a really wet year for us, but so far, the rains have been very light and short-lived. They say that the worst will be Jan-Mar.
@Mrs.S_D - Hope that the dental visit goes okay. Having teeth extracted is no fun. Take it easy for the rest of the day and maybe through the weekend.

@Blue_Doggy love your description of the relationship with your books
@Florenceem my doll Betty had a little jacket/ dress so like that and the same bkue- brought back long forgotten memories.
Hope everyone staying safe in the storm. Both cats have laced around and keen tonsee what's going on outside as it gets worse. Decided we're all goingnto bed early.
Two folders thinned out, plastic wallet out, papers, unsubscribing and 1 book in cs bag. Will add 6. Also have a few things i'll try and list.

And so ends another week. Early finish for builders today who, I’m sorry to say, did very little. Monday is a new week and I’m sure they will do a good job.
Poor DH got soaked going to cashpoint and shop early this morning. It was a proper winters day: dark, cold, wet and windy. Helped him cover his scooter up and got soaked too, had to change my top.
Looking forward to a lay in tomorrow. Also going to make an effort to get on with taking my nets up and other sewing jobs.@Florenceem, I have my first dolly, whose name IS Dolly, sitting on the ottoman in the bay window. She is 4 years younger than me. I knitted and bought her new clothes couple of years back, all premature baby sized. She has a carrier bag full of clothes and I redress her regularly.
@MrsSD, hope the dentist 🦷 wasn’t too painful either orally or financially!
Didn’t get blown away by the storm thankfully. Next one is supposed to be much further north so take care our northern people.
Have a good night all, sweet dreams xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

@weenancyinAmerica @TC77 and @Floss , I’m also way over the average 100 books, each of my D’s by themselves have more than a hundred. @Floss maybe it is genetic as I ’m a librarian!
All of us (not DH as he doesn’t read and has less than 20 books!), have a kindle and whilst DS2 prefers a hard copy book still DD and DS2 read lots of kindle books, so I think this means we are adding to the overall number more slowly than pre kindle. Like you @TC77 we use Libby and Borrowbox for audio books and ebooks with our library card. I also use Pressreader for magazines and have cancelled two subscriptions as I can read them digitally for free.
@EnergyShifter , I feel for you with the wait for ADHD medication, it is a ridiculously long time. My DD has a diagnosis but is on a 2.5 year waiting list for medication that we need now to help her get through the school day. The amount we’ve been quoted for medication privately is eyewatering and we just can’t stretch to it.
@Green_hopeful beautiful cats !
@2Scratters , I hope your DH is doing okay.
@weenancyinAmerica I hope your backpain is not too bad at the moment .
DS1, DD and I went to lunch today with my friend and got thoroughly blown around and quite a few trees down on the way home. Hope everyone else has weathered the storm okay. Have decluttered the first week of half term but nothing else!
Love to everyone xxx
