Tidied round, did a frog thats been sitting for months- putting a decorative tin lid on the wall in the 'art deco room' honestly must have taken 30 seconds but at least its done now. Cleared a few other things that just needed either chucked or put away. Place looks better now.
Been doing a bit sewing over last few days. Its not really making much of a dent in the stuff lying around however its bringing some clothes back into use. Once these are out the way I want to make curtains for the kitchen window as its a large black hole once the dark nights are here and see if I can make 2 curtains for the laundry room garden door which has a small window beside it so will need 2. Will need a bit thinking about i think as there isn't much room above the door/window for a rail or pole. But that room is cold in the winter so will be worth it i think to help create an extra barrier to the cold coming off the glass. We used to keep the door shut but now we have the kittens we are experimenting with keeping litter trays in there which is easier to deal with but means they need constant access. I thought about putting cat flaps on the internal doors but at £70 each we decided to think again 🤔 😅

@daisy_1571 could a pole be hung from the ceiling for the door & window curtains?

Well done everyone. @EnergyShifter you will enjoy the finale of the Great Celebrity Pottery Throw Down. I really enjoyed the series, as all of them were novices, and to see their progress as well as creativity was interesting.
No change on the weigh-in today.
My friend and his daughter are now arriving on Thursday evening for probably a couple of days or so. I'm out this evening, tomorrow day and evening, and during the day on Thursday. I will just have to pile everything into one pile in the spare room. Oh well.
Have resolved to leave my slow cooker out on the work surface to ensure I use it more and save on gas / oven costs. I have so little workspace it will be a bit of an issue, but it's a right pain to climb above the fridge freezer to get it out every time, with the risk of dropping it or its glass lid.
Off to do some charity and allotment admin while my chicken korma cooks in the said slow cooker. I did find some korma powder in the cupboard, but had to loosen it with the spoon's end. If I like the recipe, I may buy a replacement jar of the powder!!

It started to rain when I left home for the dentist appointment. Patient before me was a no show so I went in early. I came straight home as the rain was heavier and it was cold. Today was the first day of wearing my winter coat and hat.
I finished another 2 scarves. They are made on 3 stitches so really easy. I have 5 colours of the scarf yarn.

Thanks floss, will have to measure but its really tight. Might have to use stretchy wire but thats harder to push it back to open the door of course

Day 1. Ripped out all cupboards and most of tiles. Left sink unit in place so I can wash up and get water. That will come out when they are ready to install new one apparently. They tried to get the flooring up but it’s stuck down very firmly so they need a special tool which they will bring tomorrow. 2 extremely nice young men, so accommodating and helpful. The kindness of these two has helped alleviate a lot of my anxiety over this. The “boss” disconnected the washing machine and moved to shed, put tumble dryer on top all okay. Couldn’t disconnect the dishwasher as the water refused to stop and we had a big puddle. They are working around that. The gas cooker is staying put until the gas fitter comes to disconnect and test everything. Then the electrician comes and is renewing all the sockets and checking electrics. I think that’s the plan.
Ready meals for both of us today. Tasty and smaller portion size than I would normally serve but filled us up and were very nice. I can’t weigh in as I can’t find the scales, they were in the kitchen but I can’t recall which box I packed them in! Well done other weight loss gang members,
Rained overnight and most of the day on and off. Temp in front bedroom was 57. Been feeling cold all day so snuck one of DHs big cardigans as I can’t get to my dresser. Still chilly now. Going to sleep well tonight I think.Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx
