Officially shattered. Plans for moving sofa to make room for fridge freezer and single freezer have gone to pot as I cannot lift my end of it. No worries, single freezer will stand in the middle of the sitting room.
Thank you for kind thoughts re DHs falls, he has actually managed to stay upright today! He cooked the last of our half price legs of lamb today then I finished off a proper roast for dinner, was lovely and we both ate every bit. Then I loaded the dish washer and, while that was doing its stuff, I cleaned the cooker. It will be covered while the workmen are here so will still be nice and clean when it’s all done. Still have one cupboard to empty.
Wrapped all the Vinted and eBay sales tonight, there were 7. Happy that people are so kind to buy from us and to get it out of the house.
Have a good night all, sleep tight, I know I’m going to! Nite nite xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Thank you @TC77 , I’m trying hard not to bring my Dad’s things to my house as we have enough here already. If they are sorted and bagged to go somewhere like the charity shop, then they can be here briefly but I am trying to be a bit ruthless about it as I know if I’m not it will just merge into the mass of other stuff!!! I also fall down a rabbit hole easily! Particularly when there is a historical interest, I’ve put off doing anything book related as I know I’ll just end up sitting on the floor and reading bits that look interesting.
@2Scratters , an excellent idea, thank you 😊
Thank you for the gold stars ⭐️ @Mrs_Salad_Dodger . I didn’t want to miss out on anyone’s news and it feels more productive that watching stuff on the ipad! Especially since I’m back to Midsommer Murder’s (all episodes from the beginning), since I’ve caught up!
The ear infection is a bit better and I felt okay enough today as we finally emptied the container, despite it pouring with rain all afternoon. So that’s another thing out of the way and a monthly cost reduction as it’s all now in my Dad’s garage. It will be easier to deal with box by box from there and DH has some leave to use up before now and Christmas and he can sort out the few larger furniture bits.
DS1 and DD start half term tomorrow, their school has two weeks, which works well for us but makes DS2 unhappy as he only gets the usual week. We aren’t going away but I won’t get much decluttering done with them at home. DD will tidy her room and get rid of a couple of bits but DS1 is resolutely opposed to this type of behaviour at the moment, I’m lucky if he remembers to put his stuff in the washing basket, let alone anything else!!
Love to everyone xxx

Happy_Kitties, what a wonderful & kind way to show love for the less fortunate of us with Bags of Joy & shoeboxes 🥹 Sounds like vulpix has done you proud 🥲 & I am positive she will not mind how her makes are distributed ☺️ Great work with the general decluttering especially the sales 👏
Great decluttering vulpix 👏 Hopefully the building work won’t take too much longer 🤞as I can see you being driven to distraction by the the stains on the carpet 😉 Well done getting the number plaque up on the house 👏 I love that you found the ideal screws in your odd screws ice cream tub 🥳 a wonderful example of a Justin being useful ☺️ Amazing how much you make & your Mum is a true marvel 🥹 Please accept some 💐💐 - one bouquet each ☺️
Yorkie1, will you be cooking as well with your 2 hours’ free electricity 🤔
Floss, I would love to see a photo of your Halloween decorations 🙏
Excellent decluttering oceanspirit 👏
QueenJess, I am so impressed that you decluttered so much ‘stuff’ to your parents & sister 🥳👏 Definitely a first 😉 & merits both a Gold Star ⭐️ & 💐 Also an excellent day of using up the contents of your fridge 👏
Brie, items coming in specifically for the garden do NOT count ☺️ I ‘almost’ cannot believe the trouble you have had finding a smart pair of trousers 😉 However well done on persevering & being successful 👏 I can’t cope with polyester either so have been looking for viscose clothing. My vote would be post back to WS 😉
Thank you for my Gold Star ⭐️ TC77 😊 Glad it isn’t just my imagination about prep time 😮💨 as I was beginning to think I was just exceedingly slow 😞 Good luck converting chaos to calm 🍀 Remember the more you declutter the easier it will be to restore order to your house ☺️ Well done on the weekend decluttering 👏 I would love to see a photo of the Norwegian cardigan once the missing button has been replaced 🙏 I do love a good collection of buttons 😉 Good luck finding your keys 🍀
GrannyKate, you would think that the water company would be more definitive 🤔 either you have a leak or you don’t. Well done clearing out/dealing with paperwork 👏 Pleased to hear that Sox eventually turned up 😊 but what a naughty boy worrying you like that ☹️
Lovely post Floss ☺️

Lovely cheerleading StickyTheStickInsect ☺️ Congratulations on emptying the container & with lost 2 weeks to spare 🥳 A medal each 🏅🏅 for you & your DH. pleased to hear that the ear infection is getting better 😊 How unusual, a two week half term 🧐 no wonder DS2 is unhappy only getting a week 😔

Morning all.
I plan a day indoors - will have family visitors this afternoon.
It is pension day so will sort out the money into different pots on the computer.
Been sneezing this morning - hope it is not the start of a cold as I have dentist tomorrow and opticians on Tuesday. Friday is boiler man.
Chilly but sunny here.
Last night when putting away pattern and LO yarn in my craft storage room - I found scarf yarn. I sat and knitted 2 scarves while watching GBSB.
I did bring downstairs the bits for another Christmas project - couldn't find the pattern but it is on my computer so I will manage.
Hope everyone is okay today.

@vulpix the shoeboxes can either be a children and family shoebox (the most popular) or an elderly shoebox. I try and do more elderly shoeboxes but I do enjoy doing the children and family ones. The shoebox hub said the first thing the children always look for is the chocolate, because for them it is a luxury. Others will take their time and go through a shoebox slowly looking at every item because they can’t understand why a stranger would take their time to make up a shoebox.
Bags of Joy has also gone live so I have started to make up bags, dropped 6 off today. I could count the individual items but I do like to make up full bags, so easier if I just add the bags like I do with the shoeboxes.Neutral decluttering
307 + 6 Dunhelm Bags of Joy = 313
General decluttering
Book x 1 added to the local supermarket charity book stand
Random items decluttered x 13 which included a hair band, tea light holder, little plastic candle, a lantern, plastic teddy display case, papers. Recycled as much as I could.soft plastic recycling x 1
V parcel x 1 dropped off
A big chunk of paperwork destroyed
General decluttering total 393 + 17 =410
Really pleased with my totals this year, didn’t think I would get near my final totals but the general decluttering has been food for thought with getting new bedroom furniture and the extra question of really do I need thisDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Family cancelled today's visit as dad is away with work and mum was working so granddad was doing the school run.
Used the air fryer to cook my meal.
I have a problem with my cooker hood - making a noise. It isn't dirt as had the filters out. I have looked online for help.
I finished off the 2 scarves that I had knitted.
I don't know why my photos are sideways.

Brie - thanks. They are using yarn from my stash which I need to downsize. I have another one knitted - just need to tidy the ends.

@Florenceem scarves are lovely, clever you.
Well. Kitchen, apart from appliances the workmen are moving, is empty. It’s weird. Today’s accident is DH cutting the sole of his foot, no idea what on but had to clean it up and put a dressing on for him. Will have to keep an eye to it as DH is also diabetic and any injury to feet and toes can lead to problems.
Not expecting to have much sleep tonight but I can catch up at the weekend when, I presume, the workmen will not be here.
Both DH and I had ping meals for dinner today as I was too busy to cook, he dealt with it which was a big help.
Put a good bit in recycling from parts of jars that could go and empty plastic bottle - I like to keep the 2litre size bottles as that’s just right for watering my front door plant plus it’s enough to fill the kettle in an emergency, but I had too many so they are binned. All parcels went this morning, sold 1 more which will go tomorrow morning too.
When the workmen have finished tomorrow, I will take pictures.
Have a good night all, sweet dreams. xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
