Managed 2 loads of washing, one dishwasher cycle, and cooked some granola in the free electricity. Will need to see if I can do more cooking next weekend.
A friend may need to stay with his daughter on Wednesday night - which is a bit of a stress as I thought I would have until Christmas to clear the spare room. I'm hoping he'll let me know pronto (he rang yesterday evening to scope out his options) so I know what I need to do!
More household recycling has gone out, and a bin bag of stuff which I no longer have any use for (and can't recycle) has gone into the black bin.
Watched the licensing service of our vicar this evening. He's been the interim priest for 3 years, but was successfully appointed when the permanent position was advertised. I'm rather pleased I wasn't in the room - the worship music sounded loud and energetic. I am getting old!!

Wondeful gnomes. Looking forward to seeing what you move on to make.
@Florenceem that was my message i didn't post yesterday and now there are beautiful scarves! I still have to fix my sewing machine. If I can tidy i may ask a neighbour to help as I think its simple but beyond me :)
@floss thank you. I did feel overwhelmed sat/ yesterday and down abit I think after my flu jab. Told myself I had to get on with it so put 2 best garden chairs in the shed, garden cushions in a cupboard which nkw has space and material etc in an empty suitcase so felt better.
Having a list ready in the morning works for me so can get through calls and emails.
Out papers, 2 woodem spoons, storage bag ( zip.broke) and put 2 empty storage.bags away and 3 empty folding storage boxes under the spare bed. Took back coffee pot which I noticed had a sorted some papers. Yesterday within minutes of posting I sold 2 items , packaged them and posted this morning.

Thank you for the medals Mrs SD 😊
Several of the local secondary schools are adding most of their inset days for the year together and consequently the two weeks. I quite like it, if I didn’t have DS2 in primary school only getting the usual week, we’d defiantly use it for a slightly cheaper week away.
@TC77 I hope you are feeling less overwhelmed today xx
DD, DS1 and I met my cousin and her daughter for lunch today, her DD2 is still in school this week like my DS2, so it was a quieter than usual day. Did manage to pick up a couple of household bits in The Range and some new tables for the front room in Dunelm whilst the children were sidetracked in Smyths.
Tried dealing with an Amazon frog today, as DS2 has a sensory spinning chair and it has snapped of it’s fixing’s but since this is a replacement for the original one that broke in the same way, I am in a bit of a AI chat bot loop and I’m too tired to give it another go today. I’ll add it to my list for tomorrow.
Love to everyone xxx

Monday, rained a couple of times between 02:00 & 05:30. Cloudy until 16:00 but has brightened up. High 15°C, low 8°C with an E wind making it feel 2° cooler. Spent an hour & a half sorting out mail including shredding + reading. Dinner was mostly ‘use it up’ - leftovers: Dauphinois potatoes & chicken in breadcrumbs warmed through, boiled potatoes were sliced & shallow fried + peas & sweetcorn from freezer & chicken fried in a little oil. Tuesday weigh in - after last week's gain I have lost all of that plus 0.3kg. Even though effectively there's only been a tiny loss in 2 weeks I am feeling pleased that I managed to shift the "Retreat" gain before it got stuck.
After the productivity of Saturday things have inevitably slowed down. Sunday morning church and in the afternoon I started to tackle my work admin while watching "Celebrity Pottery Throw Down" - still haven't watched the final so no spoilers please!
Yesterday I had my regular day off. Dropped a large bag off at the charity shop in the morning. In the afternoon I went to visit a Church friend who has just come out of hospital. He's feeling very low at the moment as he can't get out of bed. It was sad to see - very out of character. We took Home Communion and prayed a lot.
Spent a couple of hours in the garden tidying around and planting some bulbs. Came across a grown over patch of concrete in the lawn that I hadn't spotted before - turns out that it held the metal sleeve for a rotary airer. Since I have just thrown my airer away - decided to go for a retractable line instead - I decided to dig it out - I now have a fairly large hole and lots of rubble in the middle of my lawn 🤦♀️. Weather forecast is not looking great today so won't be able to deal with that just yet.
Work today then I have to go to the GP to talk about the side-effects of my meds (at least that's what I hope it is). Feeling quite down today - some difficult stuff is happening to people I love and care about and I've got a tricky situation with a client. I think it's more or less resolved now but not quite there - still paperwork to do (which you might have picked up on is not my favourite activity).
Off to Morning Prayers soon - I am sure that will help 🙏
Thank you for gold star @MrsSD

Morning all - weigh in not so good as I have put back on the 0.8 lbs which I lost last week so back to the beginning. I must try harder. I've done various school and college runs and trying to decide if I want to go to history group this afternoon. I did dinner for children and DIL last night and they slept here. I will feed them tonight but DIL is taking them back to sleep. I have nurse check up this morning so leaving for that in ten minutes. Plumber is coming tomorrow to check for leak in toilet. I will try and drop CS stuff off after I have been to surgery this morning.

Morning all.
I had a late night watching a final from the GBSB.
I have asked bestie to look out for cotton sheets as I want to make vintage style aprons.
Off to the dentist later.
Hope all are doing well on the decluttering journey.

Thank you for our flowers Mrs SD.😁
Floss, that's very kind, Thank you.xx
LOVE the scarves Florenceem.
A few random plastic food container lids recycled. We had a day out in Yorkshire yesterday so nowt done at home. Mr V, finally discharged from the complex wound clinic before we set off.
Off to fat club shortly. Although I am sticking to their diet, progress seems very slow. Still progress is progress. 9 weeks to 22nd of December.
I am going to craft club this afternoon. First time in months. I got the sewing machine out the other day and sewed bias binding round the linen table cloth. I will finish it off by hand or at least do some of it this afternoon. I also cut out and pinned some linen scraps for a lap quilt which I intend to machine sew tonight.
Take care, particularly Mr suzeesu.
