A really useful way of getting to the right amount of cups that I found @oceandreamer was to to put them all on the counter and have everyone pick out their favourites. Felt a bit easier than identifying ones to go straight off the bad. If you have done the workings below and need more than they picked, then get them to chose their 2nd favourites as well, and there 3rd etc until you have the correct amount.oceandreamer said:Sorted out the glasses and mugs and decluttered quite a few. I moved the glasses into a cupboard which was formerly full of absolutely nothing I needed and only kept matching sets. All the odd mugs have gone too but I still have too many really. Might earmark some for the camping box.
And to know if you have enough, a quick working out. I tend to put my dishwasher on every 2 days as it's just me, so how many cups do I need in 2 days? Also have a think about the maximum amount of people you are every likely to have round for a cuppa at any one point. Take the highest of the above, and then you pretty much have your number.Live the good life where you have been planted.

Today one job just kept leading to another. My office conversion back to a bedroom resulted in having to clear one wardrobe to fit some stuff in, which then meant drawers needing sorting. Good for decluttering!
Four items ready for the electronic bin at the tip so taken to the garage ready, two jigsaws ready for the charity collection. One more bin bag of clothes waiting for the clothing bin to be emptied and one bag of rubbish already disposed of.
Not to mention the spaces are starting to look a lot better.

I think decluttering has been very helpful to me too. It makes my mind feel clearer to live in a tidy space. I feel the same way about meditation and I'm really glad I started it again last year.

11/1/1 Manifestation Portal 2026: Powerful rituals, real meaning, and what not to do
Someone told me about today and why it is so significant. I did set my one clear intention this morning. I thought that it can't hurt. I remember I was walking in the park in April 2020 during the pandemic and I was listening to a podcast by this doctor and I decided I wanted to get away from London and move to the seaside and I now do.

Anyway back to decluttering.
I am going to go through a whole room today, probably our main bedroom. 20 -

Sunday is a dark overcast day with a high of 10°C (feeling 7° colder due to a gusting S wind 🤔) & a low of -1° DH has been up a while & has filled the bird feeders, fed the worms & zizzed some more worm food. He has just gone out for a walk. Whatever it was I took out of the freezer & defrosted is still unidentifiable so has been binned 🙁 I have a cup of tea, timer is on & I am all set to carry on with the cheerleading, starting with posts dated the 8th
