Exciting times Dolly Rocker. Sounds like you have it all figured out and are ready to get it paid off.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x16 -
I had a visit from one of our SA leaders this afternoon - she brought cards with her.
There has been an issue with the water supply locally but I seem okay and no bottles of water have arrived on my doorstep.
Had texts from 2 daughters. Eldest daughter phoned - she asked if I was okay for money as when her Mil was widowed - she was worried about how she would manage financially. I don't know if daughter was going to offer to help me out financially. I reassured her that I am okay for money.
I am in constant contact with my SA bestie and other friends.
Muddy_Walker - I am doing lots of crying. When I had a visit from one of the SA leaders she said that Mr F and I were soulmates. She said you could see how much he loved me.
Tomorrow I plan to declutter a bag of donations that I have packed into my shopping trolley.
I still need to clean the frame from the bathroom and the high seat chair. The porch is full of disability aids. I am dreading the empty space when Mr F's chair goes. My friend said to have a change round in my room.

@Florenceem that's a good idea to shuffle things around. A bereaved friend on another site has recently started to sit in his late husband's place on their sofa and realised he had a better view of their garden!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Good evening.
Nothing else got done yesterday afternoon, we just seemed to run out of time.
Today has been busy but I still feel like I haven't done anything as did most of it sitting down.
All DVDs were gone through and scanned in yo 2 different sites. I then chose the one that was paying most and put it in that box. Most were only offering pennies but if they're all accepted its about £30. Only about a 1/3 (possibly a lot lees) were accepted, I still have 2 boxes of DVD/CDs and a box of games that im going to try at a shop. I font know if its worth keeping them and trying again in a month or so or just getting rid.
At first I did think about trying to make £2026 from this year's decluttering and then saw 1p and 3p for most of the DVDs and decided that might be pushing it 🤣. Will try and posted them tomorrow. The games look like they might be worth a little bit more.
DH has thrown some things that have been waiting a while. We will be doing a hunt tomorrow as the bins are going out again this week after being emptied last week, so will try to fill them.

Wow, everyone has been so busy!
Thank you for my medals Mrs SD. I'm just hoping I can keep the positivity I'm feeling at the moment going. 🤞😁
The last few days have been steady work; a combination of the sliding puzzle game, (the 24 tiles in a 5 x 5 grid that you slide around to make a picture), crossed with Jenga. As long as I don't bump into the piles they don't fall down. 🤣🤣 But I now have filled the space designated for the CDs with the tower units I like. I have about half a tower more of CDs that are in one of the other towers so I have to either cull some CDs or find space for a half tower. I used to host a classical music radio programme many years ago and got lots of CDs via the record companies. I'm sure I must have duplicates, I just need the time to sort them out.
The DVDs and their storage have all been shuffled around the house and I'm currently happy with where and how I've stored them. There are quite a few that I know will be going - Game of Thrones for one. I got to the end of the first series and realised it was far to upsetting to watch but my DS2 had seen me watching and bought me series 2. It's still in it's cellophane and I've kept it because it was a present from him. I now realise he would be mortified to think I was keeping stuff just because he gave it to me. There are other DVDs such as some Marvel ones that I had for when my children visited me in France as I know they weren't fond of the musicals that I like. 🤣🤣
I'm still trying to get to grips with the house toolbox. Every time I think, 'I don't need that in the house', something happens and I need screwdriver/pliers/hacksaw/etc to hand. However I think I've decided that the tin snips can go to the toolshed. 🤣
The refuse collection is still ongoing; the black bags and food waste ended up a day late, (Saturday), and the recycling is now due to be collected tomorrow. There's been some quite gusty weather this evening so I'll see how much rubbish has blown into the front garden tomorrow morning. The collections are usually very good but I guess it's because it's the first collection since before Christmas for these types of rubbish and they are the ones that Christmas generates rubbish for. Everyone seems to have the maximum 3 black bags and the mounds of paper, tins and bottles and cardboard outside just about everyone's house probably means that the lorries have had to keep returning to the tip to empty. On the positive side of this is that along with the bag of paper waste I put out on Friday, I've got my act together and put out a bag of the cat food tins that I forgot about on Friday. You've always got to look for the silver lining. 😁
Right, a little bit of genealogy is calling, it's either that or a bit of mindless scrolling and going off down yet more rabbit holes. 😱 Sleep well everyone. DxxAiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade BudgetDECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN - 2023 🏅4*⭐️ : 2024 🏅💐2*⭐️ : 2025 ⭐⭐⭐🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 : 2026 🏅🏅

good weekend, best find 2 silk cushion covers with zips, have repurposed one as a pyjama case and it looks beautiful on my bed
have also sorted all the tupperware and the tray space (rather dusty!) which means there's only 1 kitchen drawer left to do.

@DundeeDoll like the repurposing although putting my pj's under the pillow is complicated enough for me but sounds beautiful...lovely idea

Dd1 coming to see dd2 on Tuesday and I'll seen them at lunch as working at home..have left cables out and 2 boxes of books/ old toys etc for them to go through.
I think this could be the fastest our train has gone!!
Mrs SD I hope you're not spending too much time cheerleading !
@charlies_tribe good luck with the sales. I find most things would fetch much less than we think, there's a term I've forgotten about how we endow things we own with additional value.
I tend to only try and sell things cs won't take e.g vintage items.13 -

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81831138#Comment_81831138Oops! Thank you for your encouragement to share my decluttering journey! I’m afraid it’s not at all exciting, and our house is still a mess.
I was in fact quoting from Elisheba’s comment, but I didn’t highlight it correctly - she has done a great job of sorting things out to achieve her goals!9 -
Today, my cousin and I went to my Dad’s to start sorting out my Mum’s stuff. We had a long day and spent seven hours sorting stuff out. We cleared out all of her wardrobes, there were six in total and sorted the stuff into where it will end up. Most of it is in the spare room and we’ll have another go at it on Friday. I’ll only account for it when it has actually left the house.
We moved all of my Dad’s clothes into the wardrobes in his room as he had been relegated to the wardrobe in the spare room. I’ve asked that he goes through it slowly to see of there are things he wants to get rid of.
So today, 11 bags to a local charity that sends items to the Ukraine, this was mostly hats and gloves, coats and medical supplies.
I brought fabric recycling and some bits for the freebies site home with me and I’ll sort them out this week before we bring more back on Friday.
So my Dad’s total is now 11/52
