@Dollyrocker remember that there will be a maximum amount you can overpay in any 12m period, also that if you pay a lump sum off and keep your DD the same, you are paying less interest & repaying more capital each month 😉2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi everyone.
I've had a pair of trainers come in, a cardigan,2 packs of pop socks, plus a belated Christmas present of a coin with a robin on it.
I've also binned 6 pairs of socks as mu sister keeps buying me funky socks that I'm not going to wear.
I've also had 2 house plants leave/gift led to someone, plus passed on a sketchbook, artist paintbrushes, a diary, a ream of printer paper, 4 highlighter pens, plus a pack of compostable flowerpots.
I've 2 notepads, 2 packs of colouring pencils, 1 pack of watercolour pencils, 2 sketch pads, plus 4 plants to go to 3 different people.
I'm tempted to return one of the jumpers as the style doesn't suit me and makes me look like a female version of uncle fester.
I ordered it online through m and s and will need to look into how I need to return it.
I will update if I do manage to return it.Decluttering campaign 2023

Just check you won't have to pay the early repayment fee. That might change the dynamics._Dolly_Rocker_ said:Hello all,Had a busy Sunday as usual and got totally soaked while out walking dogs. Been home a couple of hours and sat down to work out my plans for paying off this mortgage. So initially I aimed to pay it off in the next 5 years. Then I thought instead of paying it off I would add the maximum savings to my LISA to get the £1,000 back a year. Well today I thought I'm going to see what would actually be better by you know looking at the figures. Turns out that if I focus on overpaying the mortgage I would save approximately £2,585.55 in interest. Now that I write this down I'm sure this can't be in a year but must be for the whole term of the mortgage - Why am I so bad at this.Either way I've decided it's best to just throw all the money to the mortgage and get that all paid off by the time I am 48 - woooooooooo! No decluttering from me today. I'm having a lazy one.Although very happy to report that I've managed to eat my way through most of the food in the house so ready to start from scratch tomorrow and be more mindful with what I eat.

Evening all. Cold day today but I am still escaping the snow. Nice roast dinner at DS2s. Then did a shop accompanied by DGS4 (Not a good plan!)
Mostly pottering around and not doing a lot. Printers both decided to have problems together. They are both quite old and large colour one is too complicated for me (late DH printed photos and was IT expert) - I will keep using them as long as I can.
80 Printer drum bought and old one in recycling
81 Inks on the other printer all replaced - old ones will go to recycling
82 Banking done
83 Final payment for May holiday made. That covers my share.
84 Bag of food items from cupboard sorted for DD to take home. Her children will eat them but DGCs here say they won't.
85 Some Christmas card fronts made into postcards for competition entries and the rest recycled.
Banking produced a surprise £12.41 - interest paid from an account I thought I had closed - I'd actually just moved money out of it and left empty and there was still interest due from first half of last year. Every little helps! School run tomorrow morning then I pick them up Tuesday pm. Hairdressers Tuesday then committee meeting Weds this week. If weather looks ok in the morning I may take myself to find a bigger branch of Dunelm.

Love the image of a female uncle fester
M& s usually let you return i think royal mail or may offer range of delivery.
2 items returned , 1 cashmere hoodie as realise if cashmere I'll keep for best and as a hoodie I don't think it will keep shape. Other was faulty. Dropped off charity bag so 3 to add to earlier 10. New total 59 and hopefully someone picking up large footstool tonight fingers 🤞

It's been a relaxed but productive day, not least because we had a covering of snow overnight with rain and wind for the whole of the day.
Success against my January aims:- All of the Christmas stuff is now back in the loft - Tick
- The plastic boxes I am keeping for kitchen use have been sorted out and put back - Tick
- A few of the rest are going to a neighbour when the weather improves - Tick
These weren't yet on the formal Aims list, but I have also:- Sorted and put away the Stamps First Day Covers and associated paperwork
- Cleaned and put back both fridge drawers (they badly needed it)
- Gone through all my old seed packets, listed them, and decluttered all of those which are too out of date (this will need a revisit as there are quite a few packets which I have kept with "TBC" againts them)
- Sorted out various banking documents, into piles, ready to file away
- Started a charity shop pile
- Started a tip pile
- Made some veg soup from some of the veggies in the fridge
- Finish the plastic boxes and lids
- Sort out the remaining banking documents

We have never regretted decluttering our mortgage @_Dolly_Rocker_. It enabled us both to retire early from stressful jobs with long hours. Just be aware of the rules re overpaying for your particular product. Just ask the provider if you aren't sure.I don't think anything other than ordinary rubbish and recycling have left the house today, but I apparently have 2 items for sale on FB going tomorrow morning. These are business items, but I have had them for ages and want them gone. Some black felt that arrived today will be going to GD tomorrow after school for her crafts. She is 12 and very talented. She makes hobby horses from scratch among other things, and she wanted black felt for eyes. Also a small Christmas tree bought reduced after Christmas to little GS as he loves plants and gardening, and will like the idea of having a Christmas tree of his own

Decluttered some of the last bits in bags of veggies for dinner and a pan of veggie soup. Now that DH is no longer safe to get in the loft, I am going to have a jig about on the top shelf of the airing cupboard and also DHs “Bitsa” cupboard on the upstairs landing. I know I will be able to get the empty totes put away.
Took up a skirt which I have been tripping over. Much better length now.
Did the ironing.
Clean laundry all put away.
House is clean and tidy ready to start a productive week tomorrow.
Loving reading how everyone is doing.
Have a great evening, sweet dreams xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Thanks all.
I can overpay without a fee up to £5,100.00 a year.
So excited now to just get it paid down. I've calculated that to hit that target I would need to pay around £416 a month.
I'll make the first payment as a lumpsum then just pay monthly after that.
I'm sure I can just do it through the app but I'll speak to them first.Debt Free - 4th June 202519
