Mrs SD happy and safe travels.
@BlueJ94 that looks great.
Frogs done this morning. I joined a book club at the library where they give out the books. I couldn't find mine as been listening to the audio on holiday, ( and house messy).but they've still given me the new one.
Remembered 2 big broken plants pots out on sat along with the old seeds and bits and pieces. Nothing today but dd2 who has headed back to uni has given me a few things for cs and rags. Need to wash these and other things. Db brought boxes and 2 suitcases and piano stool ( and lots of music books,) one suitcase he thought had linens in is full of wooden hangars. Will give some to dd1 and see if I can swap some others out but they do take up space. Unused wooden spoons in kitchen cupboard and carving set will go to the cs as i'm vegetarian.
Tomorrow washing tidying and cleaning adding 10 to make 1375 but need to get a grip as climbing over things and opened a cupboard door after moving the spare . Mattress ,( justin,) to get to it and contents fell out .
Db doesn't want the vax which i've had for a year and not used, unsure how to or if works so will offer it for parts.
Take care all. Scary how autumn is approaching so quickly!

Monday continued: a brilliant day for motorcycling - dry, overcast but getting brighter as we travelled west & south. The temperature was perfect, low to mid 20’s & we missed all the rain. It took us an hour on the M25 to get to the M4. First stop was at an M4 services for coffee & a bun. Eventually swapped over to the M5. Our second stop was for petrol & we managed to get it at 169.9p per litre (198.6p at the services 😱) Our final stop before the hotel was to take a picture of a stone bridge in Winsford & by this time the sky was almost clear of clouds & the sun was shining 😊
We arrived at our destination - The Lion Hotel, Dulverton at 17:50. It is run by a German family & because it is the end of the season no meals. Instead we are booked into another pub for dinner - The Bridge Inn (built 1845)
Animals seen: horses, cows, sheep, a single pony & hundreds of pheasants in fields (several wandering around in the road) including several white pheasants & a single raptor possibly a buzzard making a meal of a roadkill pheasant.
We walked down to the pub ordered a drink & were seated at our table. DH had ham & cheese croquettes as a starter & then we both had burgers - DH large, me medium with fries & coleslaw very tasty 🤤 It was a very pleasant evening - we chatted to a couple with a dog for a while - talking about holidays both abroad & in the U.K. Then a gentle stroll back to our hotel mostly in the dark & still warm enough not to need a cardigan. Dulverton is a lovely little market town - mostly independent shops including 2 CS, Dulverton town hall (there was a council meeting) & there is an old bridge in front of the town hall used to access the upper floor 😉 & the town still has a butcher, a baker & a greengrocer but no sign of a candlestick maker 🤭 although there is an arts & crafts shop 😉 We were back in our room by 21:20.
BlueJ94, hope you can catch up on your sleep 🤞 I see that you are getting organised for C 🤩
Lovely to see you 2Scratters 👋 Looking forwarding to catching up with your progress ☺️
Florenceem, sorry to hear that you had a pain filled night 😔 Sending a gentle cwtch your way 🤗
BlueJ94 🤩 how beautiful is that 😍 Can I enquire what music it plays 🤔
All caught up again. Sleep tight 😴

Enjoy Dulverton Mrs SD we stayed just outside about five years ago, not sure if the copper kettle still does the same delicious scones, I did compliment the cook whilst there 😋 I remember driving behind the town onto the moors.
Decorators are here to start the painting, it's now two white boxes as they covered the new plaster. All the wood work is rubbed down, they are hard workers. The cat is suitably preened by their present.
I managed to grab some crafting stuff from the small bedroom (just) and some fabric and art stuff joined the CS bag. My crafting books are still looking at me from the shelves, with four still set to one side for the bookshop, they have been there quite a while now!
Tomorrow I'll need to work our where I can iron some tee shirts

Got a huge task today of organising and sorting an lots of deliveries.
I can't leave the house due to how many deliveries are coming, which gives me the time to sort everything.
Hopefully I manage to get through it all.
