Mrs SD, that sounds far too much time awake, hope the breakfast sustains you for a good day.
Feeling overwhelmed by frogs and things brought up my DB (which I offered to sort) includes alot of crockery, some I want but some looks as if there may be more in another box somewhere so don't want to pass on yet. Also made an important meeting which clashes with another important event and not sure how to resolve as don't think either can be changed.
Taking some things to CS, glass bowls, tray from my dad's which I used for a year but shopped among my surplus for a better one, a book and big colander having been added. Out some minor debris including 1 rubber glove.
3 emails sent and just going to chip away but all surfaces covered so have to keep moving things and decided
Just sorted out a bank issue from when abroad and DD2 trousers added to CS. Magazine and some papers out.
Feel abit better with call and emails. And put a wash on to just get things away. 1385

@TC77 hugs🌺 sorting out a late parent’s things (in my limited experience) is done either by a one stop tip drop or house clearer, or by methodical and sorrowful sorting. I’m in the second category, still going through my mum’s things after over twenty years but I couldn’t do it any other way, it’s a last flowering of my love for her. My sister, on the other hand is a tip-and-walk-away person.
Reading back the 17 pages since I last posted. Thank you for my medal, @Mrs_Salad_Dodger happy holiday and safe journeys.
The last couple of weeks haven’t been conducive to much decluttering, either I’ve had busy days or been feeling unwell. However, some fairly random things have left the house.
2 empty goldfish food tubs (had been kept for storage), half a stray electric plug, binned
3 ancient mobile phone topup cards, 1 ancient bus pass and an old id card securely disposed of
Paper carrier bag used to hold gifts for sister and niece, bought a while ago, which also used up tissue and wrapping papers, and two gift bags, plus decorative bits
Bag of 20 books for charity shop
Old guide book, envelopes, gift tags recycled
1 tall cardboard box, which a bouquet was sent in once, recycled: it had for years happily held my very old artificial Christmas tree and three bundles of ornamental twigs. The tree & twigs, plus my big mantelpiece swag, two wreaths, two wreath bases and several small boxes of ornaments for the swag are all now living in a new Very Handy (!) plastic box bought for the purpose to keep it all together.
From the garden went half an ice plant (which must have been jumped on by wildlife, as it was broken & flopped on the lawn), plenty of ivy and brambles and dandelions into garden waste bin plus three bucketsful of fallen crab apples tipped under the shrubs.

Gardeners are due any minute. I've unhooked the propane tank from the old bbq and will get them to shift it to the front of the house ready for us to take to the tip (unless they decide they want to fix it up for their own use, that would be handy!!!). I've got rid of the plant trays that were no longer needed and will get them to declutter all the weeds and get the 3 cyclamen into the near flower bed so I can look out and enjoy them. I've actually got 4 cyclamen but am thinking I'll have one in a pot in the lounge as I do enjoy them.

Had a productive day off.
Boiler service and in my search for the service book, I decluttered the drawer where warranties and instructions go. Lots of items I no longer jave so all suitably recycled.
I tackled two frogs, one has been put off for months, the other was a today thought.
Had six deliveries so far with a couple more due today.
Started my diary again with goals and planning.
Got rid of three empty boxes and removed tons of Christmas items to the loft for a couple of months, which has freed up space in the spare room.
The shed furniture has all been delivered so I can start to sort that out this weekend and then more space in the spare room will be cleared. Hopefully, by Christmas everything will have a proper home!

Hope everyone is well,
I have been decluttering the ROD and now can see the floor even DS notice so it must be getting better.
My sales have been really good and I have tripled what I made in August so I'm really happy with that. Packaging has been used up.
I've sorted DS wardrobe out and some have gone in the rag bag and other bit put to sell, I've took photos just need to list, as well as other things.
Photos and emails have been deleted.
I have gone through each room and had a look to see what can be binned, put in the right place, recycled or to sell but it doesn't seem any better.
Back to college tomorrow and Thursday really looking forward to it, I have some old magazine to take with me.
Car has gone for it's service and MOT today so will see how that goes.
DS seems to be enjoying being back to school, got a newsletter sent yesterday and they will be learning French, I never did anything like that when we were at juniors school.
Think that's all for now

you could make into gift tags for use by yourself, bag a few and pass on to local pta if they have a xmas stall to sell. Pass on the cards to nursery, school, care home for xmas craft time. Make new cards from cutting off the fronts, again either for use or selling to raise money for something.
Any non glittery can be recycled

If you were on the Isle of Wight I would collect your cards off you @Deb4 . I cut the fronts and make them into cards to sell for our local community club funds. We sell them for 50p and make 30p profit on them. At the moment I am making up the Christmas ones.Took some into craft group yesterday and had sold 2 before they were priced up!
The ones that are hard to find are mens birthday cards, thank you cards and in sympathy. We sell about £50.00 worth a month.
