Lots of little bits happening. The shed has electricity and items arriving this week to make it the crafting room I want it to be.
Operation garage will not be completed this year, which has annoyed me. The pergola for the garden was due to be built but as the person pointed out, it would be better to complete in spring rather than at the end of the season. That means the huge boxes they are in limits how much clearing I can do as they take up a lot of space and are too heavy for me to move. There is only one place they can actually go as well. It is beyond my control so I will have to put it back until next year. I had done the majority of clearing out, this was the last bit.

Morning all. Slow start today - picking children up from station around 4pm. A few small frogs to do this week.
906 Fridge/freezer sorted out
907 Large collection of veggies mostly sorted - 4 pots of broccoli/potato soup in freezer; 6 bags of tomatoes in freezer (DS2 will use these for cooking); 3 bags of sliced peppers in freezer, diced onion in freezer. I still have a bag of fresh beetroot and lots of potatoes to use in some way. I will put beetroot on to cook now.

Unexpected win this morning. I was putting DD's washing away and she was on the room. I asked her to have a glance and if she could see anything she wouldn't wear in her drawers. We managed to do two drawers completely and one a cursory look. Resulted in a bin bag full that I will drop off happily today at the charity bin collection. Made me feel a lot better about the garage situation.

@Willowtree222 that's great. DB arriving tonight with a piano stool and mixed from our parents to sort. Dd2 started playing the piano and been using a low side table to sit on. It is now a bedside table with her taking the previous shelf unit used to uni. Posting a tidied room of shame as most things in the drawers need sorting and little to be kept but abit overwhelmed. Probably have about 8 such areas in the house. Frogs have to take priority but hoping to make substantial progress by the end of the year!

Thanks @floss one of the many things from.my dad's. I have 2 small ladders bookcases downstairs.
Decided I have to post to keep.myself accountable after accidentally standing on and breaking a picture frame. Luckily just big pieces of glass!

Sunny here today.
Granddad R had to trim a young cockerel's wings this morning - it had flown out of the enclosure. R has bred and kept chickens for years. He is going to dispatch the resident cockerel and use the young one as it is nearly all cockerels when he hatches eggs. R is getting another Redcap cockerel on Tuesday. R has two enclosures of chickens in the garden.
I am already halfway through the book dil got for me.
I am going to watch 2 Church services then work on my crochet.

Its been a week since I've posted. I've managed to get out in the garden for at least a couple of hours every day. Its slowly but surely taking shape. Planted up the shadier border including moving a shrub 🤞. Bricks moved to the back of the garden - I've laid it out like a little brick patio just to see what its like to live with before I make any permanent decisions. I've decided not to even attempt to get a shed until Spring - my brain just can't deal with it. I have a lot of broken paving etc that I can use in the foundations so I was thinking of getting a couple of black bins to store it in until Spring. Lo and behold - there was a skip with 2 good bins with lids on the way back from church - giving them a good clean. There was a third one that wasn't in such good condition when I got it home so deciding what to do with that.
I did a shift at the homeless shelter on Friday which I enjoyed. I discovered a pan where you can cook 4 x fried eggs neatly and quickly at a time . I donated two of those to the shelter - so impressed with how well they work that I bought myself one too.
Sofa has truly given up the ghost - so i have ordered a replacement coming tomorrow. Council can't pick old one up until October so will need to find an out of the way spot for that for a while.
In addition to the bins I've been fortunate to find some other items for free. 2 x Ikea trestles off freecycle - this will go with the Ikea table top that I found in the street a few weeks ago and will be used in new shed when it arrives. Also found a cute footed tray - looking for a home for that.
In:
3 x bins
Set of Ikea trestles
Book for pastoral ministry
4 egg pan & spatula
footed tray
Out:
2 x Wheelie Bin of green waste
Large bag of garden detritus.

Willowtree222, great news that the shed has power & that it is almost converted to a craft room 👏 A shame about the delay in building the pergola 😔
Good luck sorting the rest of the vegetables GrannyKate 🍀
Excellent decluttering in DD’s room Willowtree222 👏
TC77, lovely furniture 😊 Not sure I would class this as a room of doom 🤔 more like an untidy room ☺️ I do hope that you were wearing something on your feet when you stood on the picture 🤞
Florenceem, sounds like it might be particularly noisy at Granddad R’s place with more than one cockerel 😧
Great work in the garden EnergyShifter 👏 a medal 🏅 is on hand its way. I had never heard of a 4 egg pan, looks interesting so once I get around to decluttering the kitchen cupboards I might treat myself 🤔 Enjoy your new sofa 😊
I suppose I should stir my stumps & pack for our trip including waterproofs 😉 + will also have a bath. I hope everyone is having as good a day as possible.

Not much decluttering done here since school hols started if I am honest. I was a bit overwhelmed to be honest when all the kids went back to their parents! The house and it's tidiness had gone backwards and on top of that I had not paid attention to the other things that I do in daily life. They had only been gone 6 days and we went away for a long weekend so I hadn't even caught up with washing all of the bedding and towels? We are off on a much wished for camper van road trip around the North coast 500 on Thursday so only had 9 days to catch up again! So today I sorted out all of my charity commitments. Getting posters made, planning Christmas fair, making Christmas cards, organising a afternoon tea and raffle prizes! My head is totally decluttered! Does that count? Cleaning to be done Monday - Wednesday and I should be ready to go. It is fun and you have to make the most of life whilst you can, it just that I need a little time to recover in-between! 🤣
