I can’t get my neutral/charity latest total up at the minute but I will need to add
31 items passed on to charity
2 items donated to local animal sanctuary collection point
(Going to do another drop off today to a different charity including 2 more completed shoeboxes)
General declutteringAnother 8 items sold on Vinted
Bag x 1 binned after it was found to be slashed by one of the cats
Halloween decoration I had planned to sell on Vinted, I dropped-binned
Presents x 2 finally sent (one being another early Christmas present)

Thank you for my medal, Mrs SD - I have strawberry jam on the boil today 😍
My back is letting me know in no uncertain terms that it does not approve of my having cleaned so much in one day. I must learn to pace myself better.

Me too! It's very confusing to look at…
@Florenceem Happy belated birthday.
DS started getting rid of some bits that he put outside his room and when I asked him why he suddenly started to do that, he said it was because he wanted to buy something and so he was getting rid of things to make room! Then DD saw and I heard her ask DS to help her sort out her desk, which he did and they went through all the drawers and every single pen and pencil. I did show DS a SpaceMaker video a while ago, so maybe he's picked up tips! Anyway, there was the biggest pile of stuff I needed to sort out and I even managed to get rid of the overflow pens/pencils for DS that I had in my room. I still have some for DD for now as she didn't want to get rid of them yet.
It certainly used up some packaging/bags, which was helpful! Looks like we are all going minimalist (very slowly)… done with decluttering for today after sorting out that huge pile. I will do some general clearing up later though. DH has lots of stuff in his room to take to various locations - I did the sorting, so his job is to finally eject it from the house.
Physical:
Bags and packaging
12 - useless tiny bags (recycled)
7 - bags reused
1 - packaging reusedBathroom stuff
1 - bathroom supplies used upKids stuff
5 - DS socks too small/with holes (recycled)
5 - DS tat recycled/binned
198 - DS tat (charity bag)
232 - DD tat recycled/charity bag
1 - DD pen used up (binned)New total 8,984
Use it up total 850I think I am down to about 5 bags for packaging up decluttering stuff (2 are tiny) and around 4 shoeboxes. Every single other bag and box has already been used for decluttering.
I think I'm even starting to notice the things I've been using up as I noticed my bathroom drawer is looking less cluttered than usual. I've been using things up (very, very slowly) and then I live without things to see if I really do "need" them. Often I adapt and find an alternative I already have and so don't bother to buy. One example is make-up remover that I ran out of. I only use some eco refillable mascara (not waterproof) and some mineral eyeshadow so it comes off absolutely fine with water anyway. My make-up remover wasn't doing anything different and I have a cleanser as well I can use to remove it with.
Update on the floss picks situation.. I think I had around 5 packs from my parents/sister and I think I've had them for about 4 years. I'm now down to 2 packs left. I will get through them all eventually!!! I tried to give some away before, but no one wanted them. I don't mind using them (just have too many), so rather than throw them away, I decided I will slowly use them up.

Afternoon all. Thank you for the medal Mrs SD. I finished dismantling the pool and stored away the accessories along with some other bits spread round the garden. Started digging up a plant which was under the pool. Seems to be a woody shrub with extensive roots so I will go back to it this afternoon. A few chafer bugs emerged from under the pool and they were disposed of. I spread towels in the car and rolled pool up to get it in. I also took everything listed yesterday plus a few extras. I went to tip in old village as it is quieter and they are always helpful. Rearranged the back shed and the utility room. Garden cushions, parasol, garden toys etc all put away. Some metal and cables put away for DS2 as he trades that in.
DS2 had dropped off two bags of fresh veggies and I am trying to use those up. So far I have made a small pot of Potato and Broccoli soup which I can freeze in portions. I have loads of peppers, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, beetroot, onions, swede etc to use. Cooking in between gardening.
901 Car load to tip
902 Swimming pool to tip
903 Pool accessories sorted and stored away
904 Punctured pool toy to tip
905 Two bags of plastic to SM
DS2 sending nice pictures of Rome. I need to get on rather than have a nap.

Hoping the OH doesn't declutter his most recent cold in my direction. We have been through the ringer with minor ailments the last few months and it's really tedious.
Meanwhile due to his cold he made chilli for dinner last night which included bird's eye chillies (very hot!). There's not enough for us both this evening so I'm decluttering a few meatballs that were in the freezer to stretch it a bit, might add a bit more onion too. That way he can have a nice big bowl of chilli and I can have some on a jacket potato which I always enjoy.

Hi all.
We have some of the Grands for the day today and eldest GD and I have decluttered a huge pile of written recipes that neither of us want. There was hundreds of them. We have been trying to organise our Christmas baking days too as we've found some new things to try so that will be fun.
Too many things coming in at the minute as I'm being super organised with my Christmas shopping. (Sorry for the C word)
Kind thoughts to all

My birthday meal was cauliflower cheese + HM skin on potato wedges + green beans and belly pork - followed by Pistachio & Almond ice cream.
I had a birthday message from Australia.
F knows that I don't like Harry Hill - him and young J got me his jokes book.
My dil painted a picture and used a lovely green frame so it will go in my bedroom.
I have decluttered money for Microsoft and a TV licence. My free trial of Mcafee runs out this week so more money to declutter.
Today I repaired a large hole in a cardigan for my dil. She has gone for a girls weekend with her sister and 2 friends.
My eldest son visited us this morning with his 2 dogs.
My eldest daughter and hubby came here at lunch time - they catered, we had yummy Beef Bourguignon & mash followed by Scilian Lemon Tart or Chocolate gateau.
I was going to get my youngest daughter to take my sewing machine back to Greenwich when she visits next weekend. I have decided that eldest daughter takes it home to Cheshire as I am not happy with the heading tape position on the dining room curtains that I made.

Another day of wrapping. Labelling and organising for post. Then listing again. I’m not moaning, it’s going very well and I am gratful for the extra money.
DH is not well again, poor love has been in bed all day. He does suffer bless him.
Dinner was just me and all from freezer.
This morning I dealt with a VERY overdue chore and cleaned the fridge. There was no manky hidden food rotting in the back but something nasty had been spilt and dribbled all down to pool under the veg box. It’s all nice and bright and shines now, happy with that.
Nothing else to report. Have a good night all, sweet dreams xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Belated birthday wishes @florenceem and @suzeesue2000 I think. I have been reading along while away and know lots of great decluttering has been going on alongside ups and down.
Home.last night from 3.5 weeks away with my cabin suitcase. Think I used everything except some.of my first aid kit and a top I took for ' going out' had a few years but keep for best but when away decided certainly not for best and a lesson not to keep things. Purposely left a failed pair of socks and by accident my earbuds but luckily not v expensive. And used up one toiletry although hoped would be more.
Home to dd2 having tried to tidy up but seemed chaotic and about to be cross then realised the chaos in my bedroom as I rushed packing. All unpacked and suitcase away and washing done but have to jump on the wagon with you all.
Many frogs this week which will delay decluttering
Mrs.SD hope your trip is going well.
Love the kitten photos super cute.

Saturday has been a cloudy day with a high of 24°C, low of 13°C & a WSW wind making it feel 2° cooler. Most of the cloud cleared by 17:30. Recycling wheelie bin finally emptied this morning - should have been Thursday morning. DH watched the MotoGP qualifying. Finished watching series 3 of House of the Dragon - not nearly as good as GOT & now have to wait 2 years for the final series 😞 Dinner was chicken fried in a little oil, boiled potatoes + tomato salad for DH & me. Wudupa
1546 - 1547 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle - recycled
