@Florenceem - I wish you a lovely celebration for your birthday today, although I imagine it will also be full of memories. I am glad that you have your family around you and that they have you. It sounds like lots of things just slotted into place yesterday!
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger - please wave as you travel through the West Country. I hope you have a great trip.
@dND - I have a hedge like that and it is a constant battle with the brambles coming over. Well done on having such produce from the garden. Great news about the windows!
It sounds as though you are really cracking on with the house @suzeesu2000
Well done! It will be great once everything has been collected and you have that clear space.@GrannyKate-I am not sure how your family would manage without your support. You must provide a great sense of security for your GC. I would love to get a swimming pool but despite being absolutely hopeless, our water authority have recently increased their charges.
@daisy_1571- what a lovely thing you have done after your loss. I hope you will enjoy being one big happy family.
@Brie- it is always good to get the leaves up before everything goes soggy.
Not a lot going on here indoors. The overgrowth in the garden is our main concern. I have been leaving everything for the birds to help them be cool and have food sources such as insects, seeds and fruit. All the shrubs are now huge and need a good chop. It will mean a lack of flowers next year unfortunately as it is no longer the right time. We are on the bramble declutter mission too now that the fruit has gone over. Well done to everyone for all the fantastic decluttering.13 -
I've cut down about half of the buddleia; it needs to come out completely if we ever have our planned extension. I will fill up the green container to the brim every fortnight, filling it up every other day, wait for the green stuff to dry out and sink, and then add more.
Attended a Church Board meeting; I'm only an 'observing' member, as they had enough members already, which they didn't find out until after elections. We're all volunteers; thank goodness the city council person responsible for our church is very good with rules, regulations, and money.
Schools and clubs have started again; I've attended a new sport/dance/cardio session and think I will join for the year. The music we dance to is too loud for my preference, but it's just one hour, and very energetic, so I'll suck it up and survive. The exercise will be good for me and the group seems very sociable.
Our office will move halfway October, so I'm weeding out stuff that doesn't need to be moved. I don't have any energy left for making similar decisions at home.

Happy Birthday Suseesu, it sounds like you had a good one. xx
I have had a cold and sickness bug which has clipped my wings a bit. I have not managed to do much for a few days. Feeling much brighter today.
Very sad and also joyous cat news daisy. Charlie could not have had a better bonus three years . Obviously we need plenty of kitten and cat chat and photos please.
First weigh in at slimming club. 3lbs decluttered.
Florenceem, have a lovely birthday. xxx
Sterling work dND. You work ethic is admirable. I don't envy your cat juggling when you have the windows done. Will you be all snug before winter?
Energy shifter, are you in need of a step or space to put a pot or similar in your garden? This is what I made with left over bricks.
I had better get a wriggle on. DSS is on his way on his new motorbike.
Vx

A very busy morning and various things to do this afternoon. I have tidied the garage a bit so workmen can use it if its raining and get at plugs etc. Fortunately my builder is a cat person and makes a big fuss of Mr Sox. Hall cupboard is empty. Some stuff has gone to tip pile and I will drop it off tomorrow. I also realised that I can count 15 points off my big job list which I hadn't updated recently.
883 Unused paint tester pots (5) binned
884 Paint roller cover binned - set solid
885 Lightweight Vacuum to tip pile - including the cable
886 Old broken box of decorating tools etc - sorted - oddments and the box binned
887 Two storage cubes to CS bag
888 Set of wall brackets to CS bag
889 Mop binned
890 Old light bulbs (6) to tip pile
891 Random electrical bits to tip pile
892 Extension leads (6)
893 Random tat from garage and cupboard
894 Two layers of horrible brittle smelly lino from cupboard
895 A homemade shelving unit held together with dust as no screws or nails in it.
Cupboard of doom 1. before 2. now and 3. hopefully I can soon post an after picture.
I no longer need to access that loft hatch as I have a nice new one with a wooden ladder out in hallway.

Gosh there's a lot of busy people on here achieving a lot! Well done everyone :)
I don't have anything exciting to declare at the moment. I did decide to see if I could declutter 5 things a day, but missed yesterday so I went for 10 today. It was shockingly easy to find 10 things to go and I didn't even leave a single room to look for anything, although most the things were just doing the things lying around that needed sorting rather than rooting through cupboards and drawers. I guess it means that (a) I have lots more things to go in this house and (b) I really need to not leave things around festering for too long!
I did order 2 PJ's for DD as she'd outgrown her last size and they came in two parcels confusingly. It now means I can happily fill two more parcels with charity stuff though!

Thank you for the birthday wishes.
A card had arrived here a few days ago - I looked for it this morning - F has it hidden in his room. F is at his day centre and wants me to open cards when he is back home.
My son and dil went for a date night - suggested by F. He was looked after by granddad and I but was anxious about when his parents were getting home.
I have made the last 2 cushion covers today and mended a hole in my dil's trousers.
I forgot to get a book in the charity shops yesterday - B and S have gone out and will get one for me.
I have had lots of birthday wishes - including one from Thailand and the mayor of my town.
