It's great seeing so many people getting things done! Super motivating!
And some really wise words about grief on this board which I wasn't expecting - thoughts with anyone whose lost someone ❤️
Post divorce packing up the old house, I did quite a bit of decluttering, although everything has been in storage for nearly 4 months while I was staying at friends so maybe I'll find some of those 'essentials' I don't actually need to hold onto when I start taking things out of boxes. Moving into the new place this week (finally!) so will have lots of to dos and projects and frogs to share as I get into making the house a home and getting my new routines sorted. Feel like it's the opportunity to get things set up in a way that works best for me and what my goals are, not what it 'should' be like by any external standards.
On the supplement chat - I'm trying to remember the quote, it was something about Americans loving their supplements but the only thing you can say for sure about the impact of taking them was that Americans have the most expensive wee in the world. I am a bit of a hypocrite though cos I do take a multivitamin that's meant to be good for skin (I'm 37 and tend to get acne when I'm stressed) maybe I'll stop and see if I notice any difference, I have a pretty good diet so I'm unlikely to be missing anything important out. That's a bit of money saved!18 -
No decluttering at all done today.
Been my first day back at work this year and it has been HECTIC!
Need to walk B&L around 5:30pm then another 2 dogs to walk around 7pm so I won't actually finish work until about 8pm.

Lovely post vulpix 😊 Sorry to hear that you have a cold & I hope that you recover quickly as I know you just want to get on with sorting out your house 🙏 Thursday was certainly an excellent day of decluttering tasks & you & MrV were very busy 👏 Definitely the first time I have ever heard of anyone using up all their rawl plugs so 🤩 I am pleased to hear that the you have kept the opticians cabinet as it is such a beautiful piece of furniture 😻 I thought I had noticed it in one of your photos - to the righthand side of a fireplace whereas in your previous house it was on the left 😉 Although it does sound like you might be moving it when you rearrange the furniture 😉 I hope MrV enjoyed his evening out & you enjoyed your evening of knitting & your mushroom stroganoff ☺️
Pennypincin, well done on decluttering the hairbands as they sound like they were not fit for purpose 👏
Lovely post Brie ☺️ Thanks for the information about pasting photos into MSE threads 👏 Good luck with ‘Operation Training OH’ 🍀 it sounds like you might have your work cut out persuading him that there are no fairies 🤭
Steady progress Willowtree222 👏 Remember every item out is a win 👏
Lovey cheerleading Deni_debt-free_dreamer 😊 & some great decluttering 👏 especially having 6 bags ready to go to the CS 👏 Good luck getting the room ready for the decorator 🍀
Great work oceandreamer 👏 Hopefully not too much of the veg had to be composted 🤞
Florenceem, so sorry to hear about the LS 😔 I just wish there was something, anything I could do to help. Gentle cwtches coming your way 🤗 Fingers crossed that the leak can be repaired quickly 🤞
_Dolly_Rocker_ sometimes only comfort food will do 😉 Yippee to the free bag of teddies definitely MSE 👏 Now all you have to do is remember not to be tempted to buy dog toys 😊
Floss, This “Tell him the tidy-up fairies have retired due to being overworked....” is brilliant 🤩 Good news that the bathroom changes went well 😊
DawnW, good luck getting OH to sort out his clothes 🍀 Maybe the carrot & stick approach might work 🤔
GrannyKate, thank you for the succinct explanation of ‘frogs’ and how to deal with them 👏 Great work dealing with the meeting frog 👏 & good news that your DiL has managed to sell a desk/table 🙂 Hopefully she will have more sales in the next few days 🤞
suzeesu2000, sorry to hear about the LS 😞 Well done (not quite the right words) on settling your bills for the month 👏 Fingers crossed for some useful information from your DH’s DNA test 🤞& good luck with the heated airer 🍀
Florenceem, I like the peg bag 👍
MissMoneyMishap re This “Oh wow! Everytime I log on, I realise how little effort I have made compared to so many of you!” you & me both 🙊 but we will do better 😊 Great work decluttering so many tasks off your To Do List 👏 almost half completed 🤩
Yorkie1, thanks for sharing your method of using a heated airer 👏
I managed 2 pages of cheerleading so need a little break. I hope everyone is managing to stay warm & dry 🙂 See you later 👋

_Dolly_Rocker_ , what a great result 🥳 Two very happy people & 2 happy dogs 👏 Well done on decluttering some of the contents of the freezer 👏
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 Good luck with decluttering/sorting your craft & craft storage rooms 🍀 It sounds like you might have enough craft supplies to keep your friend J’s CS craft section stocked for a good length of time 🥹 Pleased to hear that your builder friend has identified the issues with your leaking sink & will soon have the job completed ☺️ As to clearing the office I will keep my fingers crossed that you can find a couple or three ‘strong men’ to do the work🤞🙏 Yikes to middle son’s burst pipe 😥 hopefully he can get it sorted out quickly & carefully 🤞
Interesting conversation about heated airers & dehumidifiers 🧐
DundeeDoll very pleased to hear that your 26 minutes a day method is working so well 👏😊 Decluttering to Absolute80s - no wonder you are getting so much done 🤩 My music taste is eclectic - classical through to heavy metal 😉 and practically everything in between 😅
StickyTheStickInsect, some good advice about charging cables for Crazycatlady2 when she is in hospital 👏 You are most welcome - hopefully as we go through the year you will earn a few more 😉
grandmanerd, it sounds like you barely stopped for breath 🤩 Excellent work over the last few days 👏 especially the snagging & the letter writing 👏
Good decluttering TC77 & well done on all the vacuuming & mopping 👏 I do hope the cats are behaving themselves & leaving the new carpets alone 🤞🙏
ilovetea, words fail me - 5 weeks with no recycling collection 😖 that is appalling service from your council 😠
charlies_tribe, excellent work sorting both the pets cupboard & the baking cupboard 👏 Hopefully one of the DCs can quickly check the dates & I will keep my fingers crossed that not too much needs to be binned 🤞 Good luck tackling the storage tubs of DVDs 🍀 & I see that both suzeesu2000 & florianatwobob have offered up a solution to disposing of them 😊
Very excited now as I can move on to cheerleading posts dated the 10th 😆 However definitely need to stop now as I have dinner to make 😉 See you later 👋

Pooped into one of our remote offices on the way to the supermarket to pick up a parcel and some shopping. They’re across the road (and round the back of a building) from each other and both a 15 min walk from my home so I killed many birds with one stone and got a walk in to boot.Decluttering them tonight also saves me lugging what felt like half a tree from the train station to work tomorrow when I’ve also got my laptop and work paraphernalia on my back. That’s another 15 minute walk and it just didn’t feel like a fun idea at 7.30am.✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

🫢🤣🤣🫢@floriantwobob, did you REALLY poop in the remote office?? Made me giggle, thank you🤣florianatwobob said:Pooped into one of our remote offices on the way to the supermarket to pick up a parcel and some shopping. I have a cupboard which is very hard to access. The freezer and fridge face the window. At the side of the freezer is a cupboard which faces the side of the freezer. There is zero space between the two. Plan is to empty said cupboard. See what I have that I really do need to keep. If it’s something like the soup mugs, they need to go in the other cupboard so got to make space. Idea is to take what I want to keep but rarely need to access into boxes with labels on. Boxes go in inaccessible cupboard and stuff I need regularly is found a new home in other cupboard. Fingers crossed for that one.Have a great evening all, sweet dreams xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Way behind with the messages and with the decluttering! Not managed much this last few days but did resist buying more clothes despite a trip in town and favouriting a load of stuff on Vinted. Have taken a big ham joint out the freezer to cook so more space in there too. I’m exhausted and just can’t do much I’ve got a week off next week so hopefully can catch up a bit then - consistency over intensity, right?!21

The office take one (of many but the longest journey starts with the first step). Best find - paperclips (since I'd just yesterday written them on the shopping list)
Oh and the Christmas flapjack which I'd forgotten about - now decluttered 🐶20*25 for 2025: 489 / 50016 -
Thank you @Elisheba for sharing your decluttering story - a new home from making the decision to keep fewer things is incredible.
Nothing has gone out over the last few days however much work has been done on life improvements. I now have a dining table having got rid of the outdoor table that was the wrong shape and size last summer. I have of course covered it with papers and old lists to work through however much better there than on the breakfast bar. Other things have been chipped away at and tomorrow’s priority will be to tidy the kitchen and finally get everything off the worktop and into the cupboards.21 -
@oceanspirit - I will join you in the kitchen tomorrow. My aim is to have every counter clear, everything clean, floors washed and a nice candle burning before I get to bed tomorrow.
I'll be busy but I am going to use any spare time during the day to just do a bit at a time.Debt Free - 4th June 202517
