Ha, we cross posted Kk - I see we have both been weilding the draught proofing tape this afternoon! 😂😂
Wow! The difference in that curtain!! 😳🤩👏 Well done!! Very, very worth doing.

I think it was @greenbee on @Greying_Pilgrim’s thread when we were talking about the draught into / out of (I forget) LG’s room 😊

Well done on the draught-proofing! Can you put some thermal/fleece lining on the curtain as well @Cheery_Daff? A bit of weight might help. I hang fleeces on tension rods/curtain wire/shower poles behind door curtains. I'm very keen on layers at windows and doors (all my windows have roller blinds behind the curtains/roman blinds - and most of the curtains and roman blinds have thermal linings too!).

I've cleared the tomato/pepper/aubergine plants out of the greenhouse and cut lots of greenery for the porch. And ignored the fact that I need to drive a decent distance to calibrate the tyre deflation warning system.

    Wonderful OATing everyone!

I was meant to be going out and being festive tonight but not feeling up to it so Mr PIP will represent, and I have lit a pretty star candle and got the Baileys and the Christmas tales book lined up

Todays advent jewellery is a plastic pearl ring out of a cracker many years ago 😁✨️

It's just held up by drawing pins after the curtain rail came out of the wall 🙄 Putting it back up is on the list but hasn't made it anywhere near the top yet😬

Just putting on red and gold sparkly nail varnish for tonight's festive concert 😊

I struggle to keep curtain poles up as the walls here are rubbish. Putting up batten (which can be fixed where there is actually something to fix it to) and then attaching the pole to that has been the solution!

I am watching 'My Fair Lady' for my attempt at being remotely festive tonight.

The wood burner is on and I found a few of the colour changing pine cones (expensive but fun nonsense from the land of lake years ago) which I will dim the lights and watch later.

That's a very pretty curtain, @Cheery_Daff. Glad you have decreased the draught so dramatically!

Some of my Advent things today are the same as yesterday: same Christmas jumper (grey, cream and gold) and same nice but strongly scented cream for my feet.

We had what feels like an early Christmas present, as DH managed to get the washing machine working again. One of my makeup remover pads had jammed the filter. I really didn't want to spend Christmas borrowing space in other people's machines or New Year looking for a replacement. This one sounds like a plane taking off but has been literally part of the furniture for a good 14 years and, while I know it won't last forever, I'll be sorry to see it go.

I got a few more small gifts bought, and have wrapped those for the children's partners' parents (that should be a punctuation test) as we will see all the offspring tomorrow. We've also wrapped the birthday present for the oldest grand child whose birthday we celebrate tomorrow, and I've been in touch with my sister, whose birthday is today.

The cheap Christmas veg, as well as some remaining pumpkins, are being stored in the shed to save fridge space. The tree is decorated at last and the lights are lit, though the rest of the house is still hung round with laundry.
