A Very MSE Advent 2025

I've gone back to my new favourite of emerald earrings, paired with green jumper and green converse.
I have a silver bracelet I'd like to wear for Advent but I need to figure out how to clean it using something already in the house. It's Rene Mackintosh style (did I spell that right?) that my dad bought me about 20 years ago. I used to wear it every day until he got me a plain silver bangle about 10 years ago.

Last day at work for me, so rudolf earrings (with a shiny red nose) and I was wearing a silver scarf this morning but it kept getting tangled in my necklace, so after having to be rescued by a helpful colleague, I swapped it for my wintery berries one.
No OATS to report, but now I've broken up for Christmas I might tackle a few! Not tonight though

@KajiKita and @Blackcats, I enjoyed those little Nativity memories!
Today I bought a couple more presents from the peace and quiet of the work cafeteria after hours - very glad of online shopping! Our main gift exchange isn't till 28th so this is acceptable.
Perfume of the day is Success! but I've decided I'm not all that keen - though glad that my sense of smell has returned. Resolutions-wise, I took a sandwich out of the freezer but it tasted strange so I've rejected it. I have, however, got a cheap chicken so more freezer space will be used soon. I wore my black Christmas jumper with robins on and someone said they liked it.

The toothpaste has worked a treat @daisy_1571 I used it on a soft cloth.
Today I will be wearing an old silver bracelet as my Advent joy 😊

PennysIntoPounds said:Not feeling great today (think allergic reaction to cinnamon, so at least it's a festive allergic reaction) but going round to mums for dinner and to help her decorate her Christmas tree.
Might require a medicinal baileysBlackcats said:
PIP - I hope your allergic reaction beggars off quickly. Baileys is apparently an antidote to cinammon.
Just spat my wretched coffee out on the keyboard as I could not help laughing out loud. So funny. 😂PennysIntoPounds said:Thank you Dr @Blackcats, you are always so helpful in the medicinal drinkie advice department 🥂
Another Mary here in the school nativity, presumably as the bossiest girl in the class, but also the tallest, so they needed me seated

So yesterday the "grotto" lights went up. It is the part of our lounge where the tree is. That is naked while the branches settle out, having been liberated from the net yesterday, before I decorate it tomorrow. I also need to put up more strings of lights, a garland over the inglenook fireplace and go to the market today. I have a bread order to collect and freeze.
I have just made shortbread too. Feeling it a bit more nowSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September

I couldn’t sleep even though I went out to see a film last night so I just got up early and had a bath and got dressed. I’m wearing my new aquamarine necklace today.
I tidied up and rearranged a few things in the house. I’m starting a donation bag for the charity shop. I’m about to do my morning routine of meditation etc… and then make a cup of tea and start my new book.5 -
Morning all! A reluctant last half day in the office for me today - WORKING on a FRIDAY, whatever next? If the world stops turning, you'll know why!
Anyway - I've gone for it - Christmas t-shirt (tiny reindeer in festive onesies), candy cane leggings and sparkly boots, along with sparkly holly leaf earrings. Madam Boss has already given all parts the seal of approval which is - in spite of the usual "dress down Friday" understanding - a relief after the mood she's been in lately!
PiP that's a most annoying allergic reaction at this time of year - hope the Baileys worked and you're feeling better.
I am reminded of another pretty bracelet in my jewellery box that I need to clean up and wear...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ooh, glad you are at least making your reluctant Friday a festive one EH!
Candlelit yoga and festive earrings for me - and a non-festive trip to the garage as Mr not-very-Cheery drove into a fence post and dislodged the bumper 😬 Made it mildly festive by taking Christmas chocolates for the lovely guys in the garage 🥰
Now I'm sat in a cafe enjoying Day 1 of my epic 24 day Christmas break 😱😁 Sorting out my remaining Christmas presents and I'm going to try to get as many as I can today!5
