Ooh. I must look for that podcast. Thanks for tip.Sun_Addict said:I’m loving reading all the lovely posts. Today I met some retired colleagues for lunch and wore a sparkly jumper and Christmas tree earrings. I can highly recommend a free podcast called Small ways to live well. In the latest episode they’re discussing Christmas traditions and there’s also a short Christmas story.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Today I have mostly had a lazy day, driving back from my work's do, did the bare minimum of work, and had a two hour nap.
I drove home a slightly different way and drove past of loads of mistletoe growing in the trees, so I'm claiming that as my advent joy for today.Debts 04/01/25 01/12/25

Just off to the Christmas Fayre (where I am a seller) but popping in to confirm to @Cherryfudge that if you wet-moss your wreath and use backing tape, they normally last until 12th night, unless you use a "too-leafy" sprig. Things like Euonymus and holly should be fine, using the moisture from the ring. If you are buying florist's wire, it is worth getting some of the staples and backing tape at the same time (and of course, lots of florists sell moss too) - it will protect your door if you are hanging it on that.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September

Excellent, thanks @Suffolk_lass! I know very little so I'm grateful for the info. I hope you get good sales today and the weather isn't too evil.

Weather is quite grim here, lots of rain and sogginess and fogginess.
But I got up early and did my candlelit yoga first thing 😊 and now I'm home, but Mr C is still asleep, so I've put the heating on, filled a hot water bottle, lit a candle, and I'm sat on the sofa with Call the Midwife 😊 taking a small moment of peace where I can 😊6 -
I'm out to a Christmas fayre today so will probably buy something Christmassy there. I managed to get three days behind with my daily meditation again so I will have to do it when I get home.

I bought some oven cheese and a YS rosemary and sea salt focaccia from Weightrows, as I was early for my acupuncture, so that will be my very joyful tea. I saw at least 3 rainbows on my drive home.
I think I will put the tinsel on the tree and put some batteries in my window light too.Debts 04/01/25 01/12/25

I had a lovely time on my festive adventure, met up with two different friends - unusual for me as I have a bad habit of hibernating when life gets hard. Yesterday involved a lot of steps as we decided to walk round rather than get the tube so we got to see a lot of pretty Christmas lights between the museum, regent street and then walking back to the station. Very sore and spending as much of today as I can in front of the fire with a purring cat on my knee.
I did see many Christmas jumpers and a surprising number of people wearing sequin skirts in the daytime which was suitably jolly.
And a good chat was had about memories, not 'stuff' which I hope will stick. My pet hate is agreeing no presents and then someone buys you one anyway.
i went and admired the jewellery in the V&A rather than wear anything special. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++
