If only you lived near me. So much demand for someone like you who goes the extra mile with things like popping to the shops and the chemist. I have a cleaner who is fantastic cleaner but very regimented in what she does. Definitely Vix x
The first thing I will do is ask my current job if I can go part time there. I might as well! If not, then we shall see.
Anyway, it's very much in the future for now. We need to get moved first!
Today has been a nice relaxing day. We've been to my parents for dinner with them and my grandad. We even had vegetarian haggis in celebration of burns night. Our family did originally come from Scotland a few generations back so mum enjoys it and keeps saying she doesn't know if she'll be here next year, so has to celebrate everything.Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000. Another week done! A few bits signed and sent back to the solicitors and some more ID checks done. I'm hoping things are going as quickly and as smoothly as I think they are and still crossing my fingers that we are in by the end of March 🤞
DH went to work Monday, not feeling too great and by Monday afternoon had lost his voice completely. He was then off work the rest of the week feeling ill, coughing, not being able to talk and general cold symptoms, bless him. He does seem to be getting better now though, albeit still coughing quite a bit.
We got paid on Friday, thank goodness. It has been 6 weeks! Money shifted back over to savings so that's £2,000 in the pot. I'm sure it will leave soon enough for moving house expenses!
I'm planning on booking Friday off work this week from office job and cleaning, quite frankly I feel exhausted. I'm still not fully over my cold from 2 weeks ago and then with DH being poorly, I feel so tired. The stress and worry of the move is still getting to me as well so I think a 3 day weekend will do me good.

Aw I remember the stress of moving all too well 😖 it was more the uncommunicative EA and solicitors not talking to each other with us. I cried SO many times and vowed never to move again. DP said when we move next time he will handle it all as I'm too emotional over it all 🤣🤣 TBF to me I was right in the midst of menopause and hadn't realised it. 🙈 Big hugs and just keep your eye on the end goal, a lovely new house to make your home! And as for the dream house....well that happened to us too. I had my eye on one which we never viewed as it was way out of budget. Well three months after we moved here I had a RM notification saying a house has been reduced- it was my dream home!! Still slightly out of budget tbh and it needed work so I was alright about losing it. I think these things happen for a reason ☺️.
My friend and I were talking about starting up a cleaning business but didn't get much further than talking about it. We were going to look at local drs surgeries, pubs and offices on top of private homes. Perhaps you could look at those too to up the hours when you're ready?

Thanks Beanie, I'm looking forward to it x
Thanks DFW x It is extremely stressful and I don't want to do it ever again either 🤣 Unfortunately a lot of the places you've suggested have their own team of cleaners, so it's not something I can do as part of my own business, but if an opportunity to join the teams there on a part time basis could be an option 🙂

I made it to Thursday and my three day weekend! Woohoo!
We've signed and sent back a form for the new mortgage this week and we have received an email from our solicitor and sellers estate agent that they have the draft contract ready and are starting searches, so that's good. It seems the buying of new house is pretty much a week behind the sale of my little house, so I'm hoping that bodes well for all coming together nicely! I did ask the sellers ea this week about the new build he is buying and they have said it should be ready in time, but if not don't worry as he will move into his son's house temporarily to prevent any delays, so that's also good news.
I can't wait guys. It feels like such a long time coming. Trying to keep positive and not worry about something going wrong.
I've done some yoga in the evening twice this week and it feels like it has helped, so I need to keep that up. I finally finished reading Jane Eyre last night. It's not that I didn't enjoy it, I just havent felt like reading the past month. Anyway, it was a good read and I have now moved on to a thriller to level out the lovey doveyness 🤣
Tomorrow I plan to have a nice chill morning and sort through my clothes, taking any that I don't want anymore to the charity shop if they are good enough. I'm going to go see my mum for a coffee as she's feeling neglected (I wonder if she makes my brother feel as guilty if he doesn't see her every week 🤔) and then me and DH are going to have a treat of a chippy tea.
Have a good one all x

Glad everything is moving along well and that the buyer is happy to move out to sons house so there is no delay. Enjoy your long weekend.
