Thanks everyone x
The swelling in my eyelids has gone down and is not as sore today, so that's good. I will have to take tomorrow off work but I'm hoping I can go back Tuesday and then just take Thursday morning off for my hospital appointment. I want to show willing with work as I will need some time off the week after for moving (hopefully anyway!).
I've rung our Internet provider and given them our proposed moving date, so all being well they will swap it on the 13th and all we need to do is take our current router with us and plug that in. Tomorrow, we will hopefully have confirmation that the 13th is OK with the seller of our new house and I will then be able to look at contacting the electric/gas provider, the new house insurers and water company about our move. I've made a list of all the important companies to contact with the new address ASAP. Others will get sorted as we go.
I have started packing some stuff up, mainly books and will get some more done while I'm off tomorrow. A local company does van hire, so I will look at contacting them for a price for a van which will get all our stuff done in one go. As you can imagine being in a one bedroom bungalow, we don't have a huge amount of things to move!
Right I'm going to go get our jacket potatoes started for tea! Have a good rest of your Sunday x

I've been allowed to work from home for the next few days by lovely boss, so that saves me having to go into a dusty timber window & door factory! Although, after logging on this morning and seeing all the emails and teams messages, I instantly regretted not calling in sick again 😅
Several more forms printed, signed, witnessed and posted to the solicitors, so still crossing my fingers that all will be well with moving next Friday. Some more bits have been packed away including pictures off the walls, so I've now removed the hooks and filled in the holes. DH keeps telling me just to leave it, we're not in a rented place and need to get our deposit back 🤣 He has got a point, but I'm just trying to be nice!
Savings is upto £3k. I'm hoping I won't have to touch this because paying for solicitors fee for the sale of this place will come out of what I've made from this place (£65k is being used as a deposit, £3k is for the stamp duty that I'm paying on behalf of the new buyer and then the other £2k should pay for the solictor fee). DH is paying the solicitors fee and stamp duty of our new house out of his savings. Then the plan is to buy a bit at a time for the new place and not go mad and get it all in one go. The priority is a new bed because I hate the divan that we currently have. We will put the divan into the second bedroom and stay in there until we have decorated the main bedroom and bought a new bed. My mum has told me today they want to give us some money towards it, bless them. I really don't like taking money from my parents, I know they've had tough times and worked really hard and now my mum can't work, I just don't like taking money from them, but I know she won't take no for an answer!
Here's one for you cat enjoyers. The rescue cat that my disabled customer has is now officially my friend and comes to see me when I get there! 🐈❤️

Thanks Beanie and Daisy x I don't feel very organised 😅
I worked from home this week, which was quite nice. Infection has cleared up but I still have a blocked gland in my eyelid. Went to the hospital for my referral and they don't want to operate to drain it yet as it may unblock itself, so I have to go back in a month and they will have another look then and decide. In the meantime I have an ointment to use at night. I'll be going back to the office tomorrow, but fingers crossed it will only be for 4 days as I have booked Friday off for completion and moving! 🤞
I saw the gentleman we are buying off today, he has already moved out and moved in with his son, who funnily enough lives 3 doors down from us! It never clicked he was our neighbour even though I see him and say morning. Obviously in my own little world on autopilot when I see him 🤣 Anyway, he is all moved out and bless him, has left us a wardrobe, as he had two in the bedroom but only needs one in his new house. It's a nice oak wardrobe as well, so will do us nicely for the time being and then be moved into the spare bedroom when we are ready to get a bigger one.
Yesterday, I had a lovely afternoon out with a couple of ladies from work. We went to a nice pub for lunch and then ended staying all afternoon, didn't get home until 7pm! Work bestie couldn't make it, so we made sure to take plenty of photos of us enjoying the food and wine to make her jealous 🤣
Today, has been packing more stuff up. All my clothes are now in a suitcase apart from a few bits I'll need to wear this week. We've taken our flower window trough and hanging baskets down from the side of the house and they are now across the road at one of my neighbours/cleaning customer's house, where she will keep them until we move on Friday.
We're running down the food in the cupboards and fridge freezer so have had the last of the pasta and garlic bread for tea. I need to go through some bits in the cupboards as there are some that have been in there open for a while, so probably could do with binning.
Enjoy your Sunday night all x
