When we moved i found the 'waiting to exchange' thread on the house buying bit of MSE really useful to know what to expect and when, and to see other people's timelines. No idea if it's still going - if it is i wouldn't start at the beginning as it was pretty long 8 years ago 😂2 -

It's been a busy and a bit manic few days. Dog 3 is all better after her antibiotics. Fingers crossed she stays this way for several months. Unfortunately, she is prone to UTIs and we are trying to sort out her diet to prevent them.
My sore throat did then develop into a horrid cold and i spent a majority of the weekend in bed and I haid to cancel 3x cleaning jobs Saturday morning, which was rubbish. I did feel a lot better by Sunday night though and now I just have a bit of a sniffle and cough left to get shut of.
We've had the memorandum of sale for our little bungalow and we've got someone coming round tomorrow to do a survey, so things are moving nicely there.
We have been to the mortgage broker today and got everything sorted for our new mortgage for the new house (Dont worry, i made it very clear it has to be a mortgage we can overpay 🤣). We've also got insurances sorted as well, so overall we're very happy with the service from the broker.
We have had to pay for the privilege though, so that's been done today as well.
We just need to agree a quote with someone to do the survey on the new house, which I will get sorted out by the end of this week.
