thanks @artyboy is there a way around not having to pay the £17 monthly fee………..

Ah, my bad, I was getting confused with the Edge Up account. Looks like no way around this fee, so I guess it's only useful if you do really want this account!

I do usually adhered to decency, but on the exceedingly rare occasion, I do like to test a system to see that it is fair to it's users, especially if I've personally had an issue with opening an account previously, which I had.
My XTB experience is as follows - I do not by any means advocate my rare investment 'testing' to anyone. Decency & integrity is indeed the policy.
I opened my XTB account, deposited £200 and received my free Nvidia share early afternoon of 15/05. I requested a withdrawl of my initial deposit within 45 minutes of opening my account; to see if it would initially rock the boat which it didn't, along with selling my free Nvidia share a little later and also requesting a withdrawl of funds on Friday afternoon. All monies appeared in my nominated bank account on Monday morning - without any issues.
- The only issue I had was when selling the free Nvidia share. It would only sell in 2 fractional trades with the first needing to be under £100?

eToro
Just for those who might be thinking about trying round two of the eToro offer (the original offer at the start of the year is what really launched this thread!). I closed my old account in January and I tried to do this new offer after opening a new account, and all was looking good, with the choice of shares made and it appearing on the dashboard but after depositing the £10,000 into a GBP account, I got an email
"An error occurred while delivering your free ETF… You previously had an eToro account, but this offer is available for new users only"Now… the old account was closed more than 30 days ago, as per the T&C so in theory I should be eligible, but having read the stories of people having their money tied up for weeks last time I think I'm going to quit and get my money out while I can and then ponder whether to fight for the free shares or not.
YMMV of course, but I wanted to give a heads up, especially if folk ended up depositing into a USD account and being hit with conversion fees and then still not getting the shares.

Thanks for this info and I was tempted as well but 10k deposit is double from last time so was hesitating or go for a lower amount. Did you use the same details like same email, same phone number, same bank details like last time?
More importantly, did you get your 10k back out easily after the message appeared?
Did you have any problems in January or smooth sailing?
