What's included in this list?

This is a list of cashback offers that might be of interest to forum users, focusing on:

  • Savings accounts including ISAs; other bank accounts may be included too
  • Investments including pensions, but note there’s already a related thread on the Pensions board
  • Offers you can get in addition to bank switching bonuses, but bank switches are covered on a main MSE page and discussed on the Budgeting & bank accounts board

The associated cashback "No Chat" thread is here for those who just want the announcements.

What do you mean by cashback?

Money that you receive to sign up or open an account either from a financial institution, through an affiliate link or via a cashback site as described by MSE here

You can get paid to join these sites and there are free membership options; check if there’s an offer to sign up to TopCashback (TCB from now on) or Quidco via MSE.

Please note that these sites take time (can be months) to pay out and the offers sometimes do not track properly, in which case you need to raise a ticket.

What’s not included on this list?

Refer-a-friend offers, as these aren’t allowed on this site so Google for one
All the offers on TCB and Quidco or any that appear not to track well from user reviews.
Offers that aren’t good value for money.

What do I do if I see an offer?

If you notice an offer that isn't already listed then post a message on this thread and/or on the “No Chat” thread. Alternatively, start a separate thread if you prefer.

Does a listing for a "new customer" offer mean it's a good deal, and that I should join now?

This is just a list of current offers. There's no way to tell whether there'll be a better new customer offer in future.

Could I lose money by doing an offer?

With savings, bear in mind that you could earn less through cashback than with a higher interest rate elsewhere.

With investments

  • Bear in mind you could lose money both on the investment and through fees
  • If you have to invest, try to choose a product like an exchange-traded fund (ETF) rather than an individual stock
  • If you’re just doing an offer for cashback, open a stocks and shares ISA (S&S ISA) or general investment account (GIA) rather than a self-invested personal pension (SIPP)

Things to note

Always read the terms and conditions—it won’t be possible to summarise them all in this post and there are bound to be mistakes.

Please note an entry in this list does not equal an endorsement.

In case you were unaware, this board also hosts discussion threads for Easy Access and Regular Savers which complement this thread.

And without further ado

The cashback website TopCashback is giving you £25 for opening the Cahoot Simple Saver, among other banking and investment offers. Assuming there's anyone on the boards who doesn't already have one...
The Sunny Day Saver as well.
  • Thanks to the OP for this. Great Spot.

No, just click on the link and apply. Cahoot/Santander is good at matching your details to an existing online banking profile if you have one. Mine tracked with TCB not very long after I opened the account and it's visible and funded in Cahoot's online banking.

...just to add that the payout forecast is 12 weeks hence.
