Barclays Premier £400 switch incentive

I've only just noticed this offer which ends soon. I do have an account that I can switch from (as well as others I want to keep) but at the moment it doesn't have any direct debits on it. They need two active direct debits.
So is there time to set up two new debits that will be regarded as active.
Alternatively, if I change an existing direct debit to the bank I am planning to switch from, would that count as active soon enough?
I suppose I can always wait until they make this offer again.0 -
I think there's a mixup. Anyway I've moved two direct debits out to the account I would like to switch from.
But I'm having trouble with Barclays. I've opened the app, said I'm new to Barclays (I have an Everyday Saver, but the offer conditions say that savings accounts are fine to have already), gone through the identification process, and I get to a page saying
Sorry this service is not available right now. You can always apply through the website.
But of course, applying through the website does not satisfy the offer conditions.
Anyone else got stuck this way? If so, did you find a solution?0 -

Sorry, I should have said that I had registered as a new customer, though admittedly as I was given that option I thought I wouldn't need to delete the app, and that I must have deleted and reinstalled it earlier. Still, maybe worth trying a deletion again. if I keep having trouble.0

I decided I should follow the procedure and deleted and reinstalled the app.
Guess what!
The original time I tried I passed the identity check with no problems.
But this time I got told that the checks failed and I would have to go into a branch to verify my identity.
This might mean that I can't complete my application using the app, which is needed for the offer.0 -
Just had a text confirming I've qualified for the switch bonus and it will be paid within 10 days. I've only paid in £80 as part of the switch, not paid in 4k yet so that's a bit weird.0
