Sending love and gentle hugs thrifty taylor.
Cancelled tomorrow's appointment. New card came - it will mean changing things on paying websites so did my large pending order first (have to go out and buy something to activate the new card and may not be able to do that for a few days). I've also turned on the large upright freezer and will do another order to fill that with basics (frozen veg, fruit, bread, small milk bottles (stood upright) and cheapo ready meals.
We may have refugees tomorrow. Kate's American friends are supposed to be collected by immigration to go to wherever until their case is heard (6 months). Pick up has not happened several times and they don't want to wait out of doors (3 yo and a baby involved) so they've asked if they can come here. Advice Centre is open on Wednesday and Friday mornings so they want to make phone contact with them. I haven't decided if they can sleep overnight (made DS3 help with tidying the house to make it baby safe). He says he'll pay for a hotel room for them otherwise.
Grateful for finding contact details to cancel my appointment, DS3 working well under direction, getting food ordered.5 -
Love and hugs from me too, thrifty. It's good you found some of his graffiti. Is dh ok? You said he can't walk too far.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Did anyone see the blood moon yesterday? We tried, but all we saw was a pinkish tinge for 5 mins, as the pesky clouds got in the way.Today I am grateful for my sister helping with Pip's PIP application, for shifting a bit more soil, for my prototype mushroom house looking good, for a good laundry drying day, for my 100% cocoa solids chocolate.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Thanks lovelies, your support means a lot. DH has been wearing worn out walking boots, then rubbish trainers for walking distances & has done something to his heel. He is overcompensating his walk now & done something to his knee too! We managed a walk to & from the cemetery this morning (3.5 mike's), but he's not wanting to go any further til it's sorted out.

DS3 & his now GF were up late last night talking & giggling, so had to tell them to go to sleep at 1.55am! Woke DS up at 6.30 for work, texted my boss to say I wasn't going in today, then went back to bed. Had a dream with DS1 in it.
Took GF home, ready for walk, went on our walk as mentioned above, then after dinner, I planted flowers in the garden for an hour & did some weeding. Walked to the village to deliver a bag of books I'd sold, the lady gave me the money & a bag of books in return. Only 2 in the bag that take my fancy, so will donate the rest.
Knotted after tea & watched the closing act of the R2 party in the park.
Grateful for messages of support, seeing a bird of prey at the cemetery, lovely weather, time in the gardenUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Still on NSD #4. Walked into town yesterday to get more Vit D tablets, get OH's building society book updated and buy some bread. Today is 'proper' shopping day. I have a list.Did quite a lit in the garden yesterday. Took out the tomato plants, after picking off the remaining tomatoes, dug a few beetroot, and parsnips, weeded the veg patch and planted broccoli, cabbages, kale, pak choi and oriental greens. Late and crammed in to a very small space, but some of it will grow. Planted some chard in big pots and lettuces in troughs recently vacated by other things. I simply refreshed the old compost with some blood and bone fertiliser and topped it up a bit.Today I may remove the remaining courgette plant and the French beans. I have 4 seed potatoes to plant, given to me by DD2. She always grows what she calls 'Christmas' ones but I have only ever grown them at the 'proper' time. I will give it a try! They will go in pots of old compost too.I made slow cooker ratatouille yesterday, so will have that with fish from the freezer for dinner.Grateful for a bright sunny morning and garden produce3

Hello lovelies. I didn’t manage to post yesterday as it slipped my mind but I didn’t spend any money so that was good. That took me to nsd#6. Mum came over for dinner, which was lovely as I hadn’t had chance to catch up with her at the weekend. Then today I went to work and had a run after work. Haven’t spent anything today either so now on nsd#7. I’m very grateful the weather dried up in time to go for a run. The sun breaking through has cheered me up a lot the last few days.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #825
