Slow & steady @grandmanerd, rest when you can.
@dizzyblnd I'm learning to speak Norwegian on the Du0lingo app. Learnt the basics at night classes when I was 16, now learning more, many, many years later.

Norwegian & yoga done. Had a good day at work. Was given a bag of watermelon sweets (can't get enough of anything that flavour!), a special cloth to clean my new glasses, & from another colleague, 2 packs of popcorn for the microwave. Spoilt, moi?!
Went for a very breezy walk afterwards. Knitted after tea.
Grateful for surprise treats, going for a walk, that the workmen had left by the time I reached the traffic lights (country road with no pavement) so I could walk safely behind their cones.
(Useless fact, but our large island has no traffic lights, unless there are roadworks going on! We do have some very small roundabouts though)Use it up, wear it out

How interesting @Thrifty_Taylor sounds fun. And learning a new language is great for the brain.I have been keeping up each day and I am now on nsd#10. However some days I have either been too tired or have not had much to say. Work days become a bit monotonous work, eat, sleep, repeat etc. I’m aiming for 20 nsds as I generally don’t spend Monday to Friday.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #824

Wotcha! from the one-eyed apple. I had my cataract surgery today. Had to be there just after 7 and was home soon after 11 so went back to bed for an hour
.
Today I am grateful for all the lovely people looking after me at the hospital, for dh as my chauffeur, for my bed, for getting Pip's PIP application sent in yesterday, for chicken dippers and chips and peas and ketchup and mayo for tea!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4 -
That's great @apple_muncher! It's wasn't as bad as I'd imagined to get mine done. Hope you felt the same with yours. Hope you get better results with yours & will manage with reading glasses only 😊
Usual morning routine done. Work was up & down, but noticing improvements in my pupil this week, so going in the right direction.
Stopped at the post office on the way home, as needed a postal order for DS3's provisional driving license. Was stunned to find it cost £5.50 to do this! At least it's done & in the post.
Phoned about a couple of frogs, then knitted after tea. I'm glad it's the weekend! 😀
Grateful for seeing improvements with pupil, now just have the feet to knit for my final gonk, having my name down for one craft fayre so farUse it up, wear it out

Good morning guys
Not much to tell really. Only on NSD6 but PADs are going well.
Mainly little bits needed like milk and bread but I’ve an online shop coming Monday so that should sort that problem.
We’re still waiting to complete so life is on hold really. The weather here can’t make its mind up so I went to work in layers the last two days and just added and stripped clothes as required 😂
About a third of a scarf knitted now but the bit I have done looks lovely.
Anyway I better get on
Have a good weekend everyone

Slightly better - I can make it to the bathroom and back without my stick. Celebrate the small wins. Grateful for soup, bananas and yoghurt.7

I've had a lovely day! Started out by shopping with mum. We then had a car picnic in the rain, at her favourite place, before going to a wellness afternoon. We had a go at cyanotype printing, decorated a glass tealight holder & started a slow stitched brooch. In another room was refreshments, line dancing in another, then upstairs my friend was doing tapping to alter mindset, help with different emotions, etc.
Knitted the gonk feet after tea.
Grateful for a great day, smiling whilst line dancing & doing different craftsUse it up, wear it out

Today is NSD # 7 for meHad a lovely morning foraging with DD2 and family, in and around the old orchard that they look after. We picked rosehips, haw berries, sloes and apples of course. DD wants to make hedgerow jelly with the wild bits. She also found some field mushrooms. We just brought some apples home, a different variety from our garden ones. I will need to juice some as I have run out of the last lot of apple juice that I made. The weather held up fine till we got back, but it has rained since. It was a treat after 3 days at work and poor sleep last night.I made some rather gloopy parsnip soup for lunch. Not as good as usual, but perfectly edible and there is enough for tomorrow as well. Dinner tonight will be a roast venison joint that had been in the freezer for ages, with veg from the garden (apart from the potatoes, we have run out of those). I also have a lamb stew in the SC for later in the week. The lamb has been in the freezer for a long time as well. Still using up freezer stuff before we buy more.Grateful today for a lovely morning with family, not getting wet, and more free apples.3

My ducks may not be in a row, but at least they're having fun. Your ducks probably hate you for making them line up like that.

Think I must've slept 10 hours last night!! I did the tapping I'd learned before going to sleep, & woke up feeling that my jaw & hands had been unclenched all night. First time in weeks!
Put the shopping away, then went into the garden & spent a few hours chopping branches into smaller pieces to put in sacks for recycling. My neighbour popped over with some of her greenhouse tomatoes.
Phoned about DS1's flight refund again. It's now been approved for refunding, so should receive that this week 😀 caught up with writing down this week's spends, then did the ironing whilst watching a dvd I'm not going to keep. Cut some material up, ready for trying a new craft of making baubles with lots of squares of fabric & a polystyrene ball (which I've had 20 of for years!), & lots of pins. Sewed the feet onto the gonk, then are some sticky OOD black jack sweets. Do you remember how they turned your tongue black?!
Grateful for the large pile of branches being reduced, homegrown tomatoes & progress with the flight refundUse it up, wear it out
