Thanks @beanielou.
Was nice not setting an alarm this morning 😊
After breakfast & some pottering, DH & I went looking for places DS1 had been previously. We stopped at an old war bunker (his ex gf had sent me a video of him dancing/acting daft there). On hunting around, we found a cigar butt & a takeaway tub with a wrapper in we recognised from our house. We then carried along the road & walked up the hilly moorland to a trig point I'd gone to with DS. Headed to his favourite beach next, found his tag on the side of the toilet block, then we collected shells & sea glass from the beach. I told DH how I'd dropped DS at an old cemetery to camp once, so we looked there. Thought the most likely place he'd have camped would be under a tree & we found another takeaway tub! Must've forgotten to pick them up before he left.
Read my book whilst eating lunch, looked out fabric for making more baubles, then sat sewing all afternoon. Halfway through a bag of alterations for a customer. Spent the evening replacing lavender in more lavender fish.

Grateful for a sunny day, finding things that DS has left, being invited to Wool Club on Friday (had been cancelled last time)Use it up, wear it out

Nearly all the washing went out on the line (done over 4 hours). Cleared the bowl and washed up, refilled my water bottles and put them in the fridge. Took a bag of cans to the bin.
In the afternoon I took all (but one - I found out when I checked my account but it still let me take out more books) back to the library. Sat down so many times. Checked in old books, picked 6 new fiction large print and a couple of 'wellness' books. Wore my mask and didn't go within 10 feet of anyone else. Came home. Later on, I could barely move my legs. Had a shower before bed and collected my clean duvet, I have slept for a solid 4 hours (in one go).
Had 2 boiled egga and 2 cut up apples for breakfast. Ate a can of beans and some more of my stew later on (2 portions of stew, 2 chilli and one curry left), finished off the remaining 2 slices of bread with Sunday's leftover tuna. I have opened my last tin of soup. This included 8 cans I bought on offer a few weeks ago - there have been several baked beans, soup and ice cream days . I only have chickpeas and 2 kidney beans left in the 'beans and pulses' section (stash of baked beans is also new - on offer before the soup).
I am planning to restock with cans when I have cleared the rest of the shelf (not counting the mayo and condiment mountain). I currently have less than one 3 foot shelf to use up (that's everything, not the mayo) when I had at least 3 full shelves that ran all the way along the back wall under the stairs. I'm worried about being so ill (run down), so early in the year. The soup and beans have helped me get through all the days when I could barely totter to the bathroom and back, so will restock with my own choices (soup, beans and pulses, small quantities of fruit, veg and rice pudding) when I can get them at good prices. I'm never going to match the 50p per can offer I bought for mum's final winter stash and I knew it at the time (garden shed was packed).
Most of my veg will be fresh with a good stock of frozen but these are useful and versatile. I added last tin of sweetcorn and a tin of water chestnuts (bought and forgotten by Beloved) for the much needed colour and crunch.
Chilli is good. Not the best I've ever made but far from the worst.
Grateful for getting as far as the library (cash machine is a bit further and the nearest cs is twice as far), finishing watching 'The Hack', my head being a bit clearer.
Many thanks to apple for this month's thread. Any 'failures' were my own - let's just say it's been a strange month and I faced many challenges (getting into the shower, walking anywhere further than the back door, not falling over backwards)

@grandmanerd. Great for you to sleep for 4 hours. Falling over backwards is no fun so I’m glad you dident.I have had a bad week for falling. I fell the other day and bent my hand backwards and broke a favourite pasta bowl. Then yesterday I fell again and had a toilet accident. Such is blooming life. Now of course I’m awake instead of being asleep. Morning!!
We made it! Admittedly I went over budget, but had a small EF reserve to borrow from. Got paid today so pots all full until bills go out tomorrow.
September was my workiest month so far this year. Nicest paycheque and a tax refund and all expenses paid. Hooray!
Thank you apple 🍎 for this month. It was nice to come home to a hotel room and read about what you had been doing every day my fellow Turtle Gang 🐢 🐢

Thank you all you lovely turtles for being simple this month with me! And for all you loiterers and occasional posters and old friends popping by to say hello.I'm still chasing up an unpaid invoice for several hundred pounds from the end of March. Sigh. But I will get it - it's mine!September has seen me send of Pip's PIP application, and also get Pip along to physio and she is amaaaazing. I've had my cataract removed and a piece of NHS plastic inserted instead. I've had a little bit of work in all three invigilation centres, started a bit of tutoring and made it to 24 years with dh!Looking forward to October

Sending hugs @beanielou & @grandmanerd. Take care & rest on the chaise a while.
Thanks for this month's thread @apple_muncher. I've ended on 14 NSDs.
Not a bad day at work. Usual pupil was off, so I ordered materials in the morning, then had a different pupil in the afternoon.
Dropped a completed sewing job off after work, balanced this month's finances & paid into sinking funds. Finished refilling the lavender fish after tea.
Grateful for another gonk bring sold, a happy customer, an easier day at work, complimentsUse it up, wear it out
