Woke DS3 up at 6.30, did my Norwegian & some yoga before breakfast. Felt up to going back to work today, everyone seemed pleased to see me. Had a change to my timetable in the afternoon as my pupil had an appointment.
Managed to get back to our village before the petrol ran out totally in the car! Made sure I put the right sort in +my car is diesel, this one patrol). Disappointed that I couldn't use a gift card in arseda as its an express store, so won't be able to spend it unless I go back to Aberdeen again 😓
Had a nap after work, hung washing on the line, then brought it in before it got dark & put it on the airer. Bucked my ideas up & started the process for a financial frog. Knitted & watched TV.
Grateful for a good day, support from colleagues, my dress not blowing up in the wind & flashing my pants! 🤣Use it up, wear it out

Still NSD #4 for me todayHaven't lost count so farOH sorted through the apples this morning, and peeled / chopped the less than perfect ones, so I made a batch of stewed apple for the freezer (if I can squeeze it in!) and a batch of apple chutney. Also made croutons in the air fryer with some ciabatta that was past its best.Spent a frustrating hour on the phone to the bank we are switching to. Apparently as we have had an account with them before - about 13 years ago - they are going to have to do tech stuff behind the scenes before I can do internet banking. I wasn't aware it was a done thing to keep former customers' data for so long. And the switch won't happen till the 22nd of this month. I thought it was supposed to take 7 days
. I hope they don't mess up my direct debits!
Luckily we have another account at a different bank that we can use in the meantime. We always had 2 accounts while we were both working, one each, that our salaries were paid into respectively, though they have both always been in joint names. This one is 'my' account and OH doesn't use it at all. Only my money goes into it, and some of the direct debit bills are paid from it. OH doesn't do internet banking and is too impatient to hang on the phone for ages as I did this morningThe other account is one that we both use, and again, some of the direct debit bills are paid from this one.. They have a local branch, and I am now thinking I should just have gone in to that and asked to merge the accounts if that is possible (maybe not). But anyway, it will get sorted in the end. This all sounds much more complicated than it is! I sort the bills and OH takes money out as he wants it, or I occasionally order things online for him if he asks. It works for us - we have been together for about 100 years. We are both pretty frugal and never argue about money. We are going to a pub quiz this evening, which means buying a soft drink, so no NSD.Dinner will be pasta with HM tomato sauce and grated cheese before we go.

Good evening lovelies. Well today has been rainy and miserable. Work as normal, took lunch from home and had dinner from stores. Very grateful for spaghetti bolognese tonight, which was very comforting. My dad’s heavenly birthday today so lit a candle for him. Grateful for happy memories.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #825

Hugs @dizzyblnd.
Thanks for clearing up the gonk/gnome puzzle, @apple_muncher.
Yoga & Norwegian done. Ate breakfast quickly, as received word my car was fixed & needed a lift from someone who starts a bit earlier than me. A good day at work. Got a lift from work bestie to collect my car afterwards. Got my new glasses too. Popped to see mum, then stopped at L1DL & got free leeks & a free cake.
TV & knitting after tea, plus a bit of paperwork. Early night tonight I think, feeling tired.
Grateful for having my car back, new glasses & lifts from friendsUse it up, wear it out

I have spent faaaar too much time on the M5 since last Friday! (Up north to see parents on weekend, to drift which to visit a supplier on Monday and then to Birmingham to head office for training yesterday.)
As an antidote I went and did some deadheading in the garden just now and picked some flowers 😊

Very weak and wobbly. Managed to pull the clean washing out of the machine yesterday but didn't even try to get it out on the line. Did order frozen food, carried 4 bags through one at a time (shoulder is on strike today) and put all the freezer stuff away.
Today I can't even follow the Miss Marple plot.
Grateful for pandas, easy food, good books6 -
