Sorry laptop froze.
We spent some time with the animals (skeletons and taxidermy) and with the Harlequin frogs which were all born and bred at the Museum as part of a conservation effort to save the species. We lunched in the picnic area and they showed me photos of a house they're interested in.
So I ticked lots of boxes - I went out, had an adventure/ experience, travelled there and back on the bus by myself and spent time with my grand-daughters.
In between reading and sleeping I cooked bacon and used the last 2 slices of bread for lunch (also finished off the grapes and the last apple) and chopped celery, leek, peppers served with mixed beans and pink coleslaw (beetroot, apple and pink cabbage) for tea. The washing went in the machine last night (it rained on and off during the day) and I did a small online order (bread, yoghurt, fruit) as I hadn't managed to get out.
Grateful for everything, my family, adventures and simple food (omelettes and baked potatoes also on the meal plan)8 -

Rainy again today. Not a NSD, as it is shopping day and I had an optician appointment. Only had to pay £10 for a back of the eye eye examination thingy though. I didn't need new glasses and the test itself was free on the NHS as I am old. My vision is very good for my age apparently. I only need reading glasses for very small print or threading needles and my sight without glasses is still well within the requirements for driving safely. So a moneysaving optician appointment, which makes up a bit for OH's which always end up costing loads for new glasses.Shopping wasn't too bad either as my list wasn't a big one. I managed to get a very good veg box from L*dl too!Garden pickings this morning were tomatoes, chillies, windfall apples and a large aubergineI have made roasted tomato sauce (to use up the previous batch of tomatoes) and aubergine parmagiana (sp?) for dinner, with two aubergines from the L*dl box, not the lovely shiny one I picked from the garden, as that one will keep for a while. I just need to pop it in the oven 25 minutes before we want to eat it. Plenty of time to make a salad to go with itGrateful today for swerving a big bill for new glasses, home grown produce and a good L*dl box4

Another dull, rainy day. Nsd#2 for me as I didn’t need to spend any money today. I took my lunch and snacks to work and dinner is from stores.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #825

Did some yoga this morning, first time in months. Had a good day at work, some things I tried yesterday & continued today had great results! Also a colleague told me that in 20 mins, me & pupil had spoken together more than my previous joint co-worker had with the pupil in a week! Pleased it's been noted.
Had a txt to say that a cabin has become available on the boat to Aberdeen on Friday night 😀 yippee! We'll get some sleep after all. Seeing as I'd spent already, I ordered DS2's present for his upcoming 21st birthday.
Got the box out with all my autumnal decorations, so spent a happy half hour putting them on display 🥰
Grateful for the pupil responding to my guidance, a cabin for Friday & my autumnal living roomUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Good morning guys
Today is going to be a NSD, it’s absolutely throwing it down so I’m staying in. I’ve done my PAD and am just planning on pottering , I’ve washing to do and tea is jacket spuds with beans and cheese, so no prep for that.We were on a play date with our 3 year old granddaughter yesterday , she’s definitely ready to go back to nursery, we’re both absolutely shattered 😀 and as I’m at work for the rest of the week this afternoon is going to consist of watching countdown, crocheting a throw and maybe a nanny nap.

Another day of simple living. Went to work with my jacket potato with tuna for lunch then dinner from stores. It’s been wintery. I’ve sent off an expenses claim today which I’m hoping I get paid back to me. Had a nice dog walk this evening and now looking forward to an early ish night.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #825

Yesterday wasn't an NSD as I had to replace an item that had broken and couldn't be mended. Today will Be NSD # 2 though. I am off to work shortly, so spending won't be an option in any case.3
