Moved my gas, yet again, to the latest fix (Octopus 12M Fixed November 2025 v3).

From dialling the phone number to ending the call, having completed the switch, took all of 1 minute 40 seconds!

Wow, that was a quick call!

Looks like Octopus have lots of staff on at the moment.

Do you only have gas with Octopus? Wondering if it’s possible to switch one but not the other if a dual fuel customer.

Recently having come to the end of a fix which included (relatively) cheap electric at 21 something, it would have let me change one while leaving the other. Could have saved by ditching just the gas part early if they allow that mid term.

I have both fuels with Octopus, but they're on different tariffs, and have been for about a year now.

I just specify which I want to switch, when I email them.

Thanks very much - an advantage to needing to email/call to switch, as when I last used the link in November 2024, that didn’t seem to be the case.

how on earth does twitter work? i set up a twitter account purely to message Octopus when i wanted a tariff change. obviously worked it out eventually back then but cannot find how to message now, and can't see any reference to my last messages.
i am only following octopus so with that screen up i click on the lttle envelope symbol and get "Something went wrong, but don’t fret — it’s not your fault."

edit: swapped browser, yet another site that doesn't like "Opera". message sent.

I have just phoned up to switch my gas tariff. The call was timed at 3 minutes and 24 seconds, so no complaints there. It was actioned immediately.
I  see on the app there does appear an option there to change tariff on that. I was slightly worried if I used that I might end up changing both fuels when I only wanted to change gas.
Can anyone please confirm you can just change one fuel on the app?

The change tariff page on a web browser has been broken for a while - just constantly tries to load. This changed both tariffs, there seemed to be mention of a single tariff option but not sure if that ever worked.

On the app there's just a message about having to wait until closer to the end date to change, but this seems to be another unresolved error - I rather they fixed these tariff change options more than free sausage rolls.

The email method didn't seem to get a quick response, but as above by telephone it is very quick - so this looks like the best way at the moment.
