If they've told you that in writing, I'd be raising a complaint. It's against Ofgem's rules to have separate tariffs for new customers that aren't open to existing ones.
    Email reply from Octopus Energy:
' Thank you for getting in touch. I’ve sent you the quotes that are available to you on your account. The tariffs you’ve seen online , such as the July v1, August v6, and September v1 fixed options are possibly comparison rates for new customers only, so they won’t be available for you to switch to.

Today, the fix on offer is Oct 2025 v1. You can choose that, if you want it, but you can't choose any of the old tariffs.

Money Saving Octopus 10M Fixed September 2025 v1  still showing on all tariff listing whilst still available can be chosen by new/existing customers with cashback via MSE collective switching assuming qualify as MSE collective switching member.

    I'll informed agent or ai.

If you can't see other options (apart from the mse one) on your account try following the 'magic link' - use your own account number

The usual tariff renewal link doesn't seem to be working (with account number substituted of course) the page just seems to be keep trying to load.

As usual there's no link from the dashboard with an existing fix and from the mobile app just the usual error message about wating until closer to the end date - which appears even close to the end date

It would be nice to have a simpler more reliable dashboard.

Definitely broken at the moment. Best thing you can do is check the all tariffs page with your postcode (not using the quote option)

    Ooh it's been a while!

If others out there, are still with Octopus, the 12m Fix  November 25 v3 is worth a look for gas.

Adds £6 on with the SC, but saves me £36+ based on 9000kwh (East Midlands).

    Zero exit fees.

Also extends a decent fix, from May 26 (old tariff) to Nov 26.

Email requesting switch, actioned in 34 minutes.

I sent an email yesterday relating to the V2 fix, only to follow it up with a hasty change of plans one shortly after when the V3 was released. Annoyingly though the link they sent through to review and confirm doesn't work, and I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me.

    edit to add:
And as if by magic - there it is all switched over.

They will have had a lot of enquiries after the Martin Lewis programme suggesting people move to a fix last night. I got through in 2 mins on the phone.
