I am glad it has been sorted out for youRosie1001 said:Apparently I am all updated and should be able to change providers
they applied £125 as compensation for my issues
Will be ringing ovo and octopus tomorrow I think , get this over and done with asap
Make sure the compensation gets credited to your account and then take it and run lol, all the best with your new supplier.1 -
It’s finding something suitable ….
i was already in credit over £820 , so with the compensation they are applying , I’m in a good position to have a warm home this winter🥶3 -
Err, tough! .... on EDF. It is not acceptable to disadvantage a customer in the way they have been doing by not adjusting or replacing the meter in a timely manner and they must comply with the contractual notice period, which they haven't. So E7 tariff rates (if they have withdrawn all others) is the only fair interim solution until they sort out the meter. It's EDF's own fault for being so badly organised. People should not "roll-over" and accept this from suppliers AND as I've already said complaints to OFGEM should also be made as the Regulator should make sure suppliers don't do this or get away with it!QrizB said:Phones4Chris said:It's NOT an RTS set-up so they have NO justification for putting you on a single rate tariff and not offering you a replacement meter at least. Personally I don't see why they can't charge you E7 rates in the meantime. They're not eligible for E7 because their meter timings are entirely wrong. ECO 2020 has ten off-peak hours every weekday night, plus all day at weekends. That's 98 hours a week, twice the 49 you get with E7.1 -
Don't wait. Actively hassle them with a formal complaint as well. Ask for a deadlock letter if they are not giving the assurance that they are going to bill you on dual rate.Petitepea said:..................
I guess i'll have to wait until my next bill generates to see if all is sorted.1 -
I am still on E10 timings , and I have noticed they have put my tariff back to a peak / off peak , decent prices
so at the min , I’m getting a good deal with out doing anything …how long this will last who knows
I’ve looked at OVO …their off peak is 20 p on E10 … so I’m not going for that , it’s too expensive
snug , definitely an option …but I have to go on their standard offpeak tariff until it account is live , then they said I can go on snug
That’s my balance now they added the £125 on and the new tariff which changed yesterday….

Have they sent those to meter - if so are you sure they have sent e7 tariff timings as they did on Apr 1st ?
(When they would be charging the 30.95p for 5 hrs of your e10).
If your moving hopefully a new supplier will do all 3 settings to match timings - tariff rate, tariff times and alcs times
EOn are similarly expensive for e10, over 18p here, off peak loaded vs e7 by c4p when last checked. Maybe as @QRizB suggested recently, that would be the norm, and EDF were abnormal as loaded the peak c5p vs their e7 rates, the off peak was same as e7 when last checked.0 -
I’m definitely on E10 timings as I can hear it click over …need to check if the off peak rate is going up on those timings ..
Will check today at 2.09 pm …
meter and IHD are still showing E10 pricing0 -
They did rates and tariff timings together in April - but left the ALCS e10 timings iirc, so hopefully fine for now.1

I still need to change thou … that might go off anytime and I don’t want to be having issues when colder weather comes
I’m still thinking octopus snug , even with the overrun in my ACLS1
