Sorry, but there is only one supplier that can get the national database corrected and that is the current supplier, doing anything else is a distraction and as much pressure as possible needs to be applied to EDF, not wasting time doing other things at this point.0 -
Sorry, but I did not see "If you get nowhere with e10 after meter database updated." in the previous post that I quoted ......Scot_39 said:Phones4Chris said:
NO! It seems I need to repeat what I said here "You MUST concentrate on getting the meter details correct on the National Database as a FIRST PRIORITY as I fear problems will continue until this is resolved. It just might be worth talking to Octopus - I have always thought it was for ASHP from comments here - but then the site wording included electric boilersIts a follow up on options - specifically following my point"f you get nowhere with e10 after meter database updated."And arguably Rosie1001 is now saying their putting her on E7 - not SR - and likely without any afternoon boosts at all - if they do with the same timings that they downloaded April 1st.Edit And I am not sure they would even do that for legacy metering with any timing concerns.0 -
So if you've phoned EDF to chase it, where's the harm in firing off an e-mail to Octopus later that day to ask if they accept NSHs on Cosy? Can't be on the phone to EDF for the whole of each working day.Phones4Chris said:@QrizB @Spoonie_Turtle

I was told they are not doing E10 for any configuration, they no longer offer it at all …will be into see if this was correct once my meter is updated on national databasePhones4Chris said:@Rosie1001 Once your meter details are corrected on the National Database then you can follow up the complaint about the charges. The bill you've had should then get re-issued.
Remember the response you got at one point "E10 is still available but not for your setup"
and more recently "We apologise to inform you that we no longer offer Standard Variable Economy 10 tariff. EDF are no longer supporting time-of-use pricing for certain configurations."
.......... that's because the "system" still thinks you have two MPANs and you will continue to have "difficulty" doing anything until that is resolved!!0 -
Octopus and eon both can’t “quote “ as they both think I have an old related 2 mpan meter … other online just say we can’t help you as we don’t support your meter typeSpoonie_Turtle said:Also no harm in simply asking Octopus the question, after chasing up EDF to correct the database. It's not going to be corrected instantly so it's worth using that time to consider/investigate future options.
I have to wait until MPANS issue is resolved0 -
Apparently E7 is all they can offer me , or I stay on the new tariff they put me on when my E10 was ended abruptly…with 4 days notice I may add !Scot_39 said:Phones4Chris said:

I didn't think the poster who suggested asking, meant getting a quote. I interpreted it to mean literally just asking if they accepted NSHs on Cosy. I might have been wrong, but that interpretation is the context for my previous comments.Rosie1001 said:

But equally nothing wrong with tackling it one step at a time either.1 -

It was actually more of an if e10 fails As Rosie1001 has a clearly expressed wish to stay on e10 even with EDF despite the last 6m or so.
My further posts on options like TOU tariffs like Cosy I hope isnt the only one available sine Tomato frozen - - were part to maintain some hope that she will have more than just 1 option - Snug and its alcs, if e10 search fails. One arguable more akin to her old split e7 - which started her smart meter upgrade "challenge" - to keep her old 2 hr afternoon boost.
And others challenged suggesting Snug, because it only offers 1 hour, might not suffice etc
And that after Rosie1001 had already posted she had had more positive support finally from EDF on metering database.
But winter is approaching, many in North revert to heating in Aug / Sep some years - weeks if not months ahead of the South - and I feel it's important she knows there are options if EDF dont relent on their now sr or latest e7 offer.
Cosy appears heater specific, and the electric radiators bit in the faq had surprised me.
But other suplliers do iirc do do tou other than e7 that may not be.
And if anything I was perhaps a bit fatalistic in interpreting the new recent offer of e7 being a discussion with EDF re best they can do even actually now they acknowledge her having the smart meter.

, I do actually work full time and I am trying to manage this along with taking care of my husband who has health issues
I have spoken and emailed octopus, they can’t tell me anything unless they can access my mpan detailsAnd as for calling EDF , this is not a easy thing to do anymore as their call centre is no longer Uk based and customers including me are finding it very difficult and frustrating to get a proper answer for basic questions from them
I spoke to 4 different people and got different information from each person1 -
Information regarding cosy tariff !
