Depends if you're cool with paying the £3 account fee. I suspect if you downgrade before November it will not be charged, but on the other hand why risk it

A Halifax rewards current account gives you £100 interest free overdraft, if you downgrade to a normal current account this option is not available. On 3 rewards accounts that's £300 you could put at zero cost into a savings account to earn interest. £13.50 gain over a full year at 4.5%1

If you downgrade to a regular account, do your bank details (account no/sort code) stay the same?

Yes. They remain the same.orange-juice said:If you downgrade to a regular account, do your bank details (account no/sort code) stay the same?1 -
My bet is the money for the Rewards buy-out will arrive in our accounts around midday on 31 October. It will help to sweeten Halloween.2

I think you are right that they'll probably pay them on 31st October, but for the reason that people who haven't funnelled the £1,500 through their reward account(s) for October, who are planning on downgrading their account(s) after they get their remaining payments, can be charged a £3 fee in November. Yes, I'm a cynic.
So might be a good idea for folks who are planning on downgrading to funnel through the £1,500 for October to avoid this happening.1 -

My guess would be close of business on 31 October, and possibly not visible till the next working day - 3 NovemberHattie627 said:My bet is the money for the Rewards buy-out will arrive in our accounts around midday on 31 October. It will help to sweeten Halloween.1 -
