Halifax Scrapping £5/Cinema ticket Rewards.

I have been unable to do October`s £500 debit card payments form Halifax to Skipton because of todays outage.
Is it necessary anyway in order to get the final payment due by the end of October?

You won't get anymore cinema vouchers, instead you'll get £5 for each remaining month on your reward account(s).

Just checked my Halifax Rewards account. I was paid my £5 Reward for September on 13/10. I'm hoping I will get the extra lump sum by the end of October and it covers up to 31 May 2026 (based on when I renewed). Fingers crossed.

As an extra point, I received £0.24p interest on 1/10/25; I wasn't expecting that.

Whilst removing the rewards, Halifax have started to pay interest on the account (if you fulfil a number of requirements).

A side effect is that anybody who earnt their £5 reward by holding £5000 in their account (instead of the £500 debit card spend) will now be better off than before!

Dear gt94sss2, Your Reward Extras offer has now ended as explained in the letter sent in July. By the end of October you will receive a payment into account ending xxxx called 'Reward payout' for your remaining rewards.

Got the same text message x3 (for my 3x accounts) at 1:30 PM. Could they even play it so the payment shows as "credited" on 31/10/2025 but not actually "showing" in the account until next working day i.e. Mon 03/11/2025?

Yes! So make sure you've cycled your £1,500 through each of the accounts for October (if you haven't done so already) so you're not charged 3 x £3 monthly fee for November.
