Do you need to switch 2 accounts into a new Joint account or just one from eg Santander 123 lite?
My wife has just had personal £200 from switching in, do you think I can initiate a joint one now? So we both end up with £200 from the promo?
Thanks

My text message and £200 arrived this afternoon. My debit card payment was still "pending" on Sunday, cleared on Monday morning and bonus was paid 36 hours later. The £1000 was in my account for less than a day.1

Joint account opened 3rd July, switch completed 16th July enough funds transferred with the switch to meet requirements, first debit card payment 18th July, incentive received yesterday 22nd July. Very pleased between me and my wife this is the third switch incentive we have done to Nationwide and we are happy with the service.1

When you make debit card payment, does it have to be using the physical card or can it be when it's used in Google Wallet for contactless payment?0

there's a link in the first post to an archived page of the terms and conditions, in case you need to check anything else:
Make at least one payment using your Nationwide debit card. This is the debit card for the Nationwide account you’ve switched into. Some types of payments won’t count. These are gambling and crypto transactions, taking out cash and money transfers. Other cash-type transactions won’t count either, like buying foreign currency or traveller’s cheques, money orders, loan, lease and mortgage payments. Contactless, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and recurring card payments will all count, unless they are for a type of payment that won’t count.0 -

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
